- CFCalvin's Home Fixology3 days ago5.0My wife and I visited Woodhouse Day Spa in Avalon for Father's Day weekend, and it was exactly what I needed. As a business owner in construction, I don't slow down often, so this was a great opportunity to recharge. Jocobi was outstanding. I've had many massages over the years, and hers was one of the best. At 6'4" and 220 pounds, I often don't feel like I get the full benefit from a massage, but her technique, professionalism, and attention to detail made a huge difference. I left feeling completely refreshed. We live about two hours away, but this experience was well worth the drive. Our goal is to make the trip back every other month because it was that good. My only suggestion is regarding the relaxation lounge. Since our appointments were two hours apart, I wish my wife had been allowed to enjoy the lounge earlier than the current 30-minute policy. It's something we've appreciated at other Woodhouse locations. Overall, a fantastic experience. Jocobi is absolutely worth booking with, and we look forward to coming back every other month. Five stars.
- ESErica Smith3 days ago4.0My husband and I visited over Father's Day weekend. We've been loyal Woodhouse Spa guests for more than 10 years, typically visiting the Nashville and Avalon locations. There used to be a Chattanooga location, which is where we first fell in love with the Woodhouse experience. The highlight of our recent visit to Avalon was our massage therapist, Jacobi. Her hands are truly blessed! My husband and I were both incredibly impressed with her technique, and we agreed that she gave us the best massages we've ever had. She is exceptionally talented, and we will absolutely request her again on future visits. The reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because of the arrival policy. I wasn't able to enjoy the relaxation lounge and amenities until 30 minutes before my appointment. One of the things I've always loved about Woodhouse is arriving an hour or two early to unwind and fully enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before my service. Thankfully, the Avalon Hotel across the street allowed us to check in early. Otherwise, I would have had to wait nearly two hours before my appointment. I hope this location will reconsider its policy, especially since many guests travel from out of town. Being able to relax at the spa before a service is part of what makes the Woodhouse experience so special, and I would much rather spend that time in the spa than walking around or sitting in the Avalon shopping area.

The atmosphere was beautiful, and my couples massage with Amanda and Marie was absolutely amazing. They were both professional, attentive, and provided an incredible experience. Unfortunately, my overall experience was ruined afterward. I wore the spa slides that were provided during my visit, and within 2 days I noticed what looked like a small pimple-like bump on the bottom of my foot while putting on lotion after my shower. It quickly turned into painful blisters and I ended up with athlete’s foot. The only thing that came into contact with my bare feet that was out of the ordinary was the spa’s slides. This has me seriously questioning whether they are being properly sanitized between guests. If they aren’t, that’s a major health concern and completely unacceptable for a luxury spa. It’s disappointing because Amanda and Marie truly deserved recognition for the wonderful massage they gave us. They were fantastic. However, cleanliness and sanitation are just as important as great service, and because of this experience, I can’t recommend the spa until their sanitation practices are addressed.

Spa Reservations
To ensure your preferred appointment time, it is recommended you schedule your spa experience with as much advance notice as possible or at the conclusion of your last experience. Our professional staff allocates time especially for each guest, therefore, a credit card is requested to guarantee these reservations. All spa experiences are subject to availability. Menu service and prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. No recording devices of any kind are permitted in the spa without management consent. Credit cards are required to reserve all appointments, including those using gift cards. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
Spa Arrivals
To begin your spa journey in a relaxed state, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. For a new guest, please allow 30 minutes to accommodate completion of your guest profile. All guests are welcome to enjoy our quiet room and changing lounges up to 30 minutes prior to their appointments beginning and up to 30 minutes after their appointments conclude. Spa robes, slippers, private lockers and beverages are provided for your comfort. Delayed arrival will limit the time for your experience, reducing the effectiveness of your treatment and the expectations of your visit. In consideration of other spa guests, service time will not be extended for delayed arrivals, and the full price of your service will be charged. Please notify our staff if there are any special physical or medical needs or conditions they need to consider prior to your services (i.e. pregnancy, food or product sensitivities or aggressive medications). We recommend that valuable items be left at home. Woodhouse is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Spa Cancellations or Rescheduling
As a courtesy, you will receive a confirmation of your reservation prior to your arrival. Should the need arise to cancel or reschedule reservations, a 24-hour advance notice is required. A 48-hour advance notice is required for any spa packages and multiple treatments lasting more than 2 hours. Insufficient notice to cancel or reschedule reservations are subject to charges up to full service value.
Spa Requirements
For guests aged 15-17 years old, we require parental release before the services can be rendered. Guests aged 15 and 16 require a parent/guardian in the room during service. No guests under 15 years old are permitted to receive any services. Only guests receiving services are permitted into the spa.
Spa Payments, Gratuity, and Gift Cards
Payments are accepted in the form of Cash, most Major Credit Cards and Woodhouse Spa Gift Cards. Woodhouse gift card contains value which may be used to purchase products and services at face value. This card cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. The card must be presented at time of checkout and the available balance will be applied to the transaction. Prices vary by spa and are subject to change without notice. Spa locations are individually owned franchises solely responsible for any and all gift card liabilities at their respective locations. Redemption of this card is subject to certain restrictions and expirations set by each spa location or state regulation. Should this card be redeemed at another location, the card will be redeemed at face value. This card is non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash. Any unused balance will remain on the card. This card is not transferable and Woodhouse is not responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged or unauthorized use of the card. No express or implied warranties apply.
Gratuities are not included in the value of the services and are at the discretion of the guest.
Spa Products and Returns
In the event you are not satisfied with a skin or body care product, you will be given spa credit if the product is returned within 30 days of purchase. For other retail items, a refund will be issued in the form of spa credit.
