    I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a Sephora today. I’ve shopped at this location many times before, but after this experience, I don’t plan on coming back. My best friend and I stopped by around 2:30–3:00 p.m. after spending time at the pool. We weren’t dressed up, our hair was still wet, and we weren’t wearing makeup. We simply came in because my friend wanted to buy a few products. While looking around, my friend picked up a product that was clearly labeled as a tester and applied a small amount to her hair to see how it worked. A manager named Marisol approached us and told us not to leave the product in our hair for too long. We said okay and continued shopping. A few moments later, I heard the manager use her headset to tell another employee to keep an eye on us. The employee, who was wearing glasses, looked directly at us and pointed in our direction before continuing to watch us throughout the store. It made us feel incredibly uncomfortable, as though we were being treated like we were doing something wrong or suspected of stealing. Because I felt so uncomfortable, I even asked an employee if the product was actually a tester and whether we were allowed to test it. She confirmed that it was a tester but again mentioned not leaving it in our hair for too long. We were only using a very small amount to see if we liked the product before deciding whether to purchase it. Throughout the rest of our visit, we felt watched and followed. Shopping should be an enjoyable experience, especially when you’re spending your own money. Instead, we felt judged and singled out. We ended up purchasing four products, which made the experience even more disappointing. No customer should leave a store feeling embarrassed or like they’re being treated with suspicion simply because of how they look or because they’re teenagers. I’ve been to several other Sephora locations and have never been made to feel this way. This was by far the most uncomfortable shopping experience I’ve ever had, and I hope this location takes customer treatment more seriously so others don’t have the same experience.

    Paola is incredible! She was so helpful, found THE perfect shade of everything, gave me a variety of different brands and was incredibly respectful. Whenever you need a shade match or literally anything, Paola is the way to go!! Sephora at Hamlin!

    Everybody here is so genuinely friendly and sweet!! I would go out of my way to come to this location solely for how helpful and friendly the staff are, especially Sara and Ilayda🫶

    Huge shout out to Sara! I am just diving in to make up and wanted to learn more about color matching for foundations. She took the time to explain the shades and helped me find the right one for my skin. I was nervous to ask for help but Sara made me feel so welcome and her knowledge made me feel comfortable with my decisions. Thank you for everything, excited to try my new Rare Beauty foundation!

    I don’t know much about make up or skin care, I only knew what I wanted to fix, the entire team was kind, understanding and helpful. They really cared, they listened and asked questions which helped me understand what I was doing wrong and why I may be breaking out, thank you guys so much! I’m excited to try everything, fingers crossed it all helps!
