  Tayla just gave me the worst hair cut I’ve ever had. I told her I didn’t want it buzzed, then before I knew it she ran a clipper right over the top of my head. It’s so uneven and shaggy. At the end she was like, “wow you’re sweating a lot”, and covered me in so much powder that the stylist next to us complained. Yea I’m sweating because you absolutely butchered my hair. Thanks. I ended up going back in and requesting a refund, which is something I’ve never had to do for a haircut. The whole time Tayla didn’t dispute that I asked her not to give me a buzzcut, instead she just kept saying that it was the same length as I requested. But there’s a problem. A buzzcut is more than just a length of hair, it’s also a style. I didn’t want a buzzcut, I wanted my hair to be cut with intention. I could have stayed at home and ran a razor over my head. If all that mattered to a man’s haircut was length then every guy would look like he just got out of boot camp. If she doesn’t understand that then maybe she needs to go back to school.

  The woman who cut my hair did a wonderful job and was very kind. She took her time and it was nice to be taken care of after being 4 months post partum/losing my hair. However, another woman with a Karen haircut humiliated my 3 year old unnecessarily. I was hoping for him to get comfortable with hair salons again and although it isn't the end of the world, it really put a damper on that. He was trying to grab a sucker for his grandmother, usually the suckers are out and easier to grab at other Hair Cuttery salons and although he shouldn't have grabbed from behind the counter, she was irritable and aggressive for no reason and raised her voice, embarrassing him in front of everyone which caused him to burst in to tears. He's literally THREE and has a growth hormone disorder with an arachnoid cyst and a chiari malformation which can cause behavioral issues but he wasn't causing rift. We have been going through a separation with his father as well and he has been very, very sensitive lately. It's not her job to talk down to my child, and I would NEVER even do that to an adult! And I've been in the service industry for 16 years as a waitress. I've had people try to refill their drinks in our service stations or try to grab their own to go boxes, kids trying to grab more crayons, etc, I never got like that. She tried to be sweet to him after obliterating his confidence and told him they had to save the other suckers for the other kids, which sure whatever, but get real lady, there had to be about 200 suckers in that bucket. I wasn't going to write this review because I understand people have bad days, but thinking back on the entire interaction and my mother (whom was also there holding my 4 month old) telling me he was getting one for her so she didn't feel left out, I'm just pissed. He's fine, he will live, but you need to work on your customer service skills and learn the meaning of tact. Hate to break it to you but kids are people too and you wouldn't talk to an adult like that. It isn't hard to redirect. Sorry for the one star.
