## **BARBARIC — I WOULDN’T SEND MY WORST ENEMY HERE**
I went to Studs thinking it was a cute, reputable, safe place to get pierced. I already have my other daith pierced, and with family visiting from out of town, I wanted to make this a fun little moment together. I wish with everything in me that I ha gone somewhere else.
This was hands-down the most horrifying piercing experience I have ever had. The person piercing me seemed completely inexperienced. She was clamping my ear, digging her knuckles into my face, struggling to find the correct position, removing and reinserting the needle, and repeatedly trying to force it through. **This went on for what felt like 10 minutes.**
At some point during all of this, my hearing suddenly became muffled. I could barely hear what anyone was saying. I later realized **blood was pooling inside my ear** from everything that had just happened.
By then, I was genuinely scared. I kept insisting that I needed to sit up because I knew something wasn’t right. I could hear the employees talking to each other in a concerned tone, but because my ear was full of blood, I couldn’t even make out most of what they were saying. I finally demanded to know what was happening.
They told me the jewelry had been **bent and they needed to pierce me again.**
Before I even felt like I had a real opportunity to process that information or decide whether I wanted them to continue, **another needle was going through my ear.**
When I was finally allowed to sit up, I moved my ear and a shocking amount of blood poured out.
Oh and the best part - The piercing is not in the current spot and sticks straight out.
I am absolutely horrified by this experience. What makes it even worse is that **I had actually considered bringing my sweet 6-year-old here to have her ears pierced.** The thought of putting my child in the hands of this place after what happened to me makes me sick.
They ultimately dismissed my bill because of what happened—which, frankly, tells you everything you need to know about how badly this went. I walked in expecting a professional piercing and walked out feeling like an **unwitting practice subject.**
My ear has continued bleeding for **24 hours**, and I have attached a photo of what it looks like.
Please, PLEASE, avoid this place at all costs. Go to the old-school tattoo shop with the piercer who has been doing this for years. Give me the supposedly “scary” tattoo-shop piercer over this polished storefront experience **any day of the week.**
This was barbaric, frightening, and completely unacceptable. **I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here.**
Studs corporate is more than welcome to contact me.
