  When I first began looking at new hair salons in the Dr Phillips area I came across Aura Blow Bar and it had rave reviews which gave me high hopes. However my experience over the past 1 year has been very questionable. As a woman of color with long thick hair it seems as though none of the stylists have any experience with my hair type. I have tried to get a blowout from every single stylist to see if I could find someone who knows how to work with my hair but I have encountered an issue with EVERY stylist. At this salon if your blowout takes longer than 45 minutes they will charge you on top of whatever price the blowout is (which I have never heard of at any other salon). I ended up purchasing a membership for $95 a month which includes 2 blowouts with EXTRA time. Again, I have repeatedly come to this salon so they should know my hair at this point but whenever I come in the stylists will comment and talk about how thick and long my hair is so it will cost extra even with the membership!! I requested a blowout and it took TWO stylists almost 1 1/2 hours to do a simple blowout and my hair was not even fully dry and I was still charged extra and was asked for a tip. If you are someone with thick long hair I don’t recommend coming here as they don’t seem to have stylists that have experience with this kind of hair and they will charge you for their stylists lack of experience.

  Gabrielle did a phenomenal job with my blowout and style ! She was very sweet the entire time and is going to do my color on Friday 😊 I can’t wait for my next appt with her ❤️

  Awesome Experience and So many compliments! Laura styled my hair and made me feel like a million bucks. I would encourage anyone who wants to have a Great Hair Day to make an appointment and get ready to have amazing hair!

  Gracie was amazing and so personable! She made me feel comfortable the minute i sat down. The salon was very clean and aesthetically pleasing!! From the young woman who checked me in and set me up with a walk in appointment to the manager (I believe). They were all so kind. Whenever I am in Orlando I will for sure be back for a blow out. Thank you all for being so welcoming.

  I had such a wonderful experience at Aura Blow Bar! I was visiting from out of state to spend time with a friend, and we had dinner plans that evening. I called hoping they might be able to squeeze me in, and they were able to get me a same-day appointment! Gabrielle was absolutely amazing. I did my best to explain the vision I had for my hair (probably not very well!), but she somehow translated my rambling into exactly what I wanted. She truly worked magic! My hair turned out even better than I imagined, and I couldn’t have been happier with the results. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming and professional. If you’re looking for a salon that delivers beautiful results and outstanding customer service, I highly recommend Aura Blow Bar. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town!
