I’m usually one of those spur-of-the-moment people who decides I need a haircut and just walks in somewhere hoping they have availability. Today, that place was Hair Cuttery.
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Gabriella. I explained I didn’t have an appointment and was just hoping for a quick haircut. I also mentioned that soon I’d need my highlights touched up and wanted to tone down some brassiness. Even though they were clearly busy, Gabriella found a way to fit me in immediately, which honestly made my day.
From the moment I sat down, she was professional, personable, efficient, and never made me feel rushed. She managed her time incredibly well while still making the experience relaxing and enjoyable.
A few things stood out during my visit:
• There were only two stylists working at the time, yet I counted at least five walk-in customers and several phone calls asking about same-day availability.
• I overheard callers specifically calling to compliment recent services they’d received.
• That alone told me this location must have talented stylists and loyal customers.
At checkout, Gabriella showed me the products she used on my hair, and another client waiting nearby chimed in with her own recommendation about how much she loved them. She even joked that her daughter uses hers so much she constantly has to buy more. Between Gabriella’s knowledge and the genuine feedback from another customer, I ended up purchasing both products — adding another $70 to my bill — and honestly felt good about it because there was zero pressure involved.
Another thing I found interesting: while getting my hair done, the client next to me and I started chatting. She had driven from Palm Beach Gardens, and I drove from downtown West Palm Beach. It just goes to show that when people receive good service, they’re willing to drive a little farther for it.
Gabriella mentioned she’s the assistant manager, and after just one visit, she absolutely made me a repeat customer. In fact, I’m already bringing my daughter in next week for a haircut.
Just wanted to give a shoutout to Gabriella for her outstanding customer service and professionalism. The other stylist working was also consistently busy the entire time, and from observing her interactions, it was obvious many of her clients were repeat customers as well.
Great customer service still matters — and this location definitely seems to have it.
