This complaint is not against the hair stylist, but to the Hair Cuttery business itself. I was deeply saddened to hear my original stylist, Toni, was retiring. She was kind enough to highly recommended another woman in the salon—which I did use. Initially I felt like it was good. Of course, it always looks great when your hair stylist does it. Not totally happy, I was reaching out to her to go back to have the hair cut touched up. Well that was totally impossible. Every time I called I was automatically directed to use their web site—even during day when their salon was open. After a number of unsuccessful attempts, I finally received a friendly voice on the other side of the phone. By that time I was so ticked off with computerized system I just cancelled my next appt and never even discussed the reason why I was calling to begin with. There is no doubt in my mind this will discourage present and even future clients from using their salon. In my opinion there is no reason why a live person isn’t answering the phone. Why not even hire somebody to work from their home to answer their phones. Really. They could even answer the phone for a few different salons—not just one.

I had to make a last-minute appointment. They were the only ones open at 8 AM. Online booking was easy. I was met and greeted on time. I received exactly the service I needed at a very fair price. I had a botched home haircut that needed repair prior to vacation travel. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes with exactly what I needed at a very fair price. I highly recommend.

I would not recommend this salon. I specifically requested a dark brown color leaning neutral cool. Instead, I almost left with a warm toned medium/light brown. The stylist did fix it with a toner, but only because I caught how light it was before he even blow dried it. I asked for a simple, one length trim. I hate layered hair and explicitly said I wanted a boring, straight trim. Instead, they gave me a cut with long layers. A good hair appointment starts with listening to your clients. I won't be returning, especially a $220 cut and color.
