I am writing on behalf of my best friend, who today had a very disappointing experience at Blowzonerosé. As a business owner myself, I found this situation particularly upsetting and concerning. She was originally quoted $350 for a full set of highlights when booking her appointment. While she was happy with how her hair coloring turned out, she was shocked at checkout when the total came to nearly $700.
At no point during the service was she informed that the price would increase or that additional charges were being added. Transparency is extremely important, especially for services at this price point. If her hair required extra product or additional services, this should have been clearly communicated beforehand so she could make an informed decision.
She did speak with the owner, but unfortunately, the situation was not resolved in a way that felt fair given the original quote. Although the quality of the hair coloring itself was good, the lack of upfront pricing and clear communication left a very negative impression.
This feedback is not intended to harm the business; rather, it is meant to highlight a practice that needs improvement. Clear communication and transparency are essential to avoid giving customers the impression that they are being taken advantage of.
As someone close to her, and as a business owner, I believe it is important to share this experience so other customers are aware. I would strongly recommend that future clients ask for a detailed breakdown and confirm pricing before services begin to avoid unexpected surprises.
