Oscar is so good at blonde!!! Lightened up my hair and gave me the cutest bob ever!

Honestly, I had three separate bad experiences at this salon.
The first time I went, I got a haircut. I showed the stylist exactly what I wanted and explained it, but it looked nothing like the picture. I still paid because I figured maybe it would look different once it dried (that was my first mistake). After looking at it more, I asked if they could cut a little more because I wasn’t happy with it, and they told me it would be an additional $76. I couldn’t believe I had to pay extra just to get closer to the haircut I originally asked for.
Later that same day, I came back for my highlights. Once again, I showed them my inspo picture (which I’ll attach below). Everything seemed fine until they took the foils out. They put something on my hair before washing it (I’m guessing toner), and after they washed it, I sat back down in the chair and immediately noticed the color wasn’t even close to the blonde highlights I asked for. My hair was orange. I tried convincing myself it only looked like that because it was wet.
Then she rushed through cutting my hair and, after brushing it, apologized because she couldn’t blow-dry or style it since she already had another client waiting. So I left not even knowing what my hair actually looked like until I got home… and it was exactly what I was afraid of.
I went back on August 3 to see if they could fix the highlights because they looked awful. They basically told me they couldn’t fix them, so I ended up just dyeing my hair back to my original black because I hated the orange so much.
The stylist was very apologetic, and I appreciated that, but the service still wasn’t good. While she was putting the dye on my hair, it kept getting in my eyes and all over my face. Then she moved me to another chair because she had another client waiting, and I sat there for another 10 minutes before she came back. When she rinsed my hair, she got water all over my face and soaked the collar of my shirt. After that, she put leave-in conditioner in my hair and then apologized again because she couldn’t dry or style it since another client was waiting. I literally had to style my own hair before leaving.
Overall, I was highly disappointed with my experience here. I spent $511, and I honestly regret every dollar of it.
* Haircut: $94
* Haircut & Highlights: $259
* Color correction: $158
The only good experience I had here was the massage, which was $185.
I understand salons get busy, but I shouldn’t feel rushed through every appointment because another client is waiting. If I’m paying hundreds of dollars, I expect my stylist to take their time, listen to what I asked for, and make sure I’m happy with my hair before sending me out the door. Instead, I left multiple appointments disappointed, with wet hair, and a color that looked nothing like what I asked for. I really wanted to love this place, but after everything that happened, I honestly can’t recommend it.
Even after coloring my hair to the original color the top of my head wasn’t dyed properly and still have orange on it. The second haircut looks uneven after washing and drying.
Edit based on the response I received: “She also shared that the additional blow-dry service and its $54 cost were discussed before moving forward, and that you agreed to add it to your appointment.”
This is a LIE. There was never any talk about an extra fee for a wash. It’s insulting having a stylist now blatantly lie and for an owner to go along with it. As I said in my original review, had I been told before that it was $54, I would have went elsewhere.
It’s is clear that employees here are allowed to lie rather than take any accountability. I was willing to consider giving this place another chance because I live so close. But based on this response and these lies, never again!
Giving two stars solely because of the deceptive pricing I experienced at my appointment. I booked a service listed for $60, and once I arrived and spoke with my stylist, I was told it would be $64.
However at checkout I was charged $118! Why? Because apparently I received a blowout along with my service. This is false. I got my hair washed and braided down. On the salon's website, a blowout is "Enjoy a smooth, polished finish with our signature blowout service. Your stylist will shampoo, condition, and style your hair using professional techniques and round brushes only to achieve volume and shine." Cornrows are listed as: "A low-maintenance braiding technique where the hair is braided close to the scalp in continuous rows. Cornrows offer protection against breakage and help maintain natural hair health while keeping it neat and manageable." The cornrows listing does not say "shampoo not included."
When I booked the braids it said $60, my stylist said I would be charged $8 per braid. With 8 braids my total should have been $64. At no time was I informed that getting my hair washed was extra.
Cornrows are listed as taking 90 minutes, and that's how long it took my appointment, so it's not like any unexpected time was spent.
It was only at checkout that I learned of the additional charges for getting my hair washed (which is already scammy because at what salon does a client not get their hair washed).
My total ended up being double as what I booked. Had I known getting my hair washed was extra, let alone $52!, I would have gone somewhere else. Using such deceptive pricing practices feels fraudulent. I do not want to return to this salon because it is clear prices can be doubled with no communication or transparency. I didn't even get a receipt, and had to go back to the website and cross reference where the charges might have come from.
If you want upfront pricing and an honest stylist, please look elsewhere.

I scheduled a facial at the Aura Salon and needed to reschedule. The spa does not open until 11 so I called as soon as they opened to reschedule my 1:30 appointment. The girl who answered was pleasent, but I was told that the rescheduling fee was 100% of the cost of the facial as was the cancelation fee. I think this policy is a bit extreme. Life happens and things have to be rescheduled. I wanted to come back for the facial, but knowing I would have to pay the full price to first reschedule it and then again once the service was completed was a real turn off and I decided to cancel. I'm a doctor and I don't charge full price to reschedule an appointment. Needless to say, I won't be coming back.

I had a terrible experience here. I have never seen a place this unprofessional and neglectful of their costumers. This applies to all the services. I was shocked with the treatment I received (or lack thereof)
