I had an amazing experience with Abigail! She did an incredible job highlighting and cutting my hair, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. She was talented, attentive, and really took the time to make sure I was happy with my hair. She absolutely deserves recognition for her work, and I would definitely recommend her. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk was very disappointing. From the moment I walked into the salon, the front desk woman was talking about how she had multiple appointments that day and that she wished my hair appointment had been scheduled for an earlier time. I found this to be very unprofessional and unnecessary, especially as a customer who had simply arrived for a scheduled appointment. Then, before my service was even completed, I was asked to pay. I found this very unusual, particularly because I noticed that other clients were not being asked to pay before their services were finished. It left me feeling uncomfortable and honestly a bit singled out. I completely understand that salons can be busy, but customers should still feel welcomed and respected when they walk through the door. My hairstylist was wonderful and the actual hair service was excellent, but unfortunately the interaction with the front desk took away from what otherwise would have been a great experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because I would love to return for my hairstylist, but I would expect a much more professional and welcoming experience at the front desk.

Had an amazing experience with Abigail, a sweet and very talented hairdresser. Abigail took the time to fully understand my hair goals and vision and did extremely well with bringing them into reality. I truly recommend her as a hairstylist to anyone looking for a professional and easygoing stylist, and of course Soho as an establishment. Thank you so so much Abigail! See you at my next appointment!

I went to get color correction. Which I know takes time. The stylist had made comments stating how I needed to cut most of my hair when I told her I didn’t want to many times. She also made comments about how vain i was without knowing me. She was telling me about how my friends would react to my hair after dying it the second time. How they wouldn’t notice how red my hair was and that the second dye would be my last. That she liked it knowing I didn’t. I was promised 3-4 treatments and she made it clear after advocating for myself that the 3rd treatment would be the last. She said she would only bleach part of my hair. And when I cancelled my appointment because I found a different salon that could fix the blotchy red tones I was left with (that she wanted to call the final product) I was only scheduled for face framing pieces. I was never explained to what was going to happen with the second treatment either. She never told me the goal was to balayage. I found it to be very rude and unprofesional. The lack of communication is wild. I also did spend over $300 for my first visit despite what the reply states and then the $175 for my second treatment. Overall I do think that I spent way to much money for a service with rude comments and where I had to advocate so hard for what I wanted. It felt like the stylist didn’t want to do the work on my hair. If that was the case I would have been happy to go elsewhere from the start.
