    I had an appointment for my daughter, the person who worked with us was very nice and not part of my issue. I brought a Sephora gift card that was purchased at Kohl’s. The card clearly states it can be used in Sephora stores, online, and at Sephora at Kohl’s. Despite this, I was told I couldn’t use it simply because it was bought at Kohl’s. No one could give me a real explanation or point to any policy that justified refusing it.As a single mother, I had planned to use that gift card given specifically so my daughter could pick something out from Sephora. Instead, I had to use money that was already budgeted for other essentials.I’m extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled. If Sephora is going to refuse its own gift cards, then the wording on the card needs to be corrected or the staff needs proper training so customers aren’t put in this position. This experience was unacceptable, and I hope management takes it seriously.

    I must admit out of all of the Sephora locations I go in Connecticut customer service wise and from a leadership standpoint Sephora West Farms is the WORST! I had witnessed it numerous times while in the store and how they treat customers and yesterday it happened first hand to me and I will never shop this store location again. I even took the time to call Sephora corporate and complain. I am a VIB Rouge customer and embarrassed to admit I shop make up and skin care a lot. I have probably doubled my sales this year of what’s needed to maintain rouge status. I never return probably 3 times in my span of being a customer and even then I never ask for cash back ever. I had bought something for my son for his girlfriend for Christmas and he never gave it to her and shockingly I already owned it. I kindly asked if I could get a store credit to put towards something else. The cashier was very kind but she needed to call over a manager for approval. Yadie comes over and good lord what a miserable human being. Maybe because I just came from the gym didn’t look my best. But condescending, rude, told me she could not offer me anything because it was past 30 days and if I was a rouge customer I am clearly in here all the time, I should have remembered to bring it in. No- “thank you for being a good customer and shopping with us loyally”. Really put me down and that was it for me.I actually left the store and was like I have witnessed customers being treated like crap here I am calling into corporate. (From west farms mall) The first person I spoke with in customer relations could care less and was like I can have a supervisor call you back- I was like yeah no I want to speak with someone now. To my surprise he connected me with a supervisor Jada who was kind and professional and listened and rectified the situation the best she could credited my account for the item, she apologized for Yadies lack of professionalism and said she would make sure this gets to the appropriate district management to re train this locations leadership on how to be professional. As leaders you should be able to properly identify who is taking advantage and who you could extend a courtesy to one time. I said this to the corporate office and I will say it here. There is no other reason to be loyal at this point to Sephora the direct vendors they sell sell straight off of there websites, offer better rewards programs and offer more than just the discount including GWPs etc. There is no reason to be loyal to just Sephora. If you can’t value your customer for their loyalty you need to re evaluate who you choose to give your business to. Where I may shop around more at this point I know the Sephora locations who have great customer service. If I chose to purchase at Sephora, those will be the stores I shop at. Sephora West Farms DO BETTER because you’re not a location I will EVER support.

    I’ve visited this location many times over the years, but after my experience on 4/15/2026, I won’t be returning. While I was in the makeup section trying to find my foundation shade, a staff member walked past me nearly bumping into me just to assist another customer who was only a few feet away. I stood there, honestly stunned, as he then moved on to help yet another nearby customer without ever acknowledging me. It felt as though I was completely invisible. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and fairness. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here, and it left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. The South Windsor location has always provided a much more positive experience the staff there are consistently friendly, attentive, and respectful to everyone

    My Daughter loves this place so that's really all that matters. Wish there was a dad lounge inside to hand with all the other awkward dads waiting on their girls. But all in all, place is clean and staff is super friendly even if your standing there sweating wondering how bad your wallets gonna hurt. #girldads

    i’ve had multiple bad experiences with this sephora, the customer service is horrible i talked to the chat bot as well they don’t want to fix things either. this sephora doesn’t know customer service at all even if it hit a them in the face. screeching hello when you enter with no follow up? you should hire more people and not be so stubborn for those who are actually nice. The stores busy okay i get that but the customer experience should be better. what’s the point of being of greeted and then redirected elsewhere and then just left alone?? i don’t expect immediate service but the workers are so impersonal and act like they hate the job do better and find people who actually love makeup the craft bc it’s an art. i’ve been in the store multiple times. The first time i wanted to return my purchase for a pair of lilly lashes she didn’t say hello to me didn’t ask me if i wanted to use my points def not personable or personal the second time i did an online order she was warm upon greeting then she quickly dismissed me to the pick up line which is fine then women i encountered i was nicer to her and she just seemed to want to get the pick up done. Not personal at all then i offer an item listed in stock i got push notifications on for it. they didn’t have it, thats fine but i wasnt told that to my face. again the interaction was rushed. One of the under other interactions I had I came in for a product, Got the app had told me it was available And I had something else with me, and then I talked to an associate. She was so rude To me again, I didn’t catch her name But it just completely threw me off of my buying from there DONT SHOP HERE your better off ordering online than w these people
