  I wish I could give 5 stars. Everything was excellent 24/7 had delish steak and prime rib and The Buffet was fantastic. Room was clean and love the bathroom. And 23rd flood pool and hot tub was relaxing with a great view and clean. Unfortunately, it was impossible to get a drink on the casino floor in 2 days I only had one waiter approach us for a drink and everyone behind the bar was extremely rude or would completely ignore you even when you were playing at the bar counter. We headed to Ameristar and had a fabulous experience playing slots and within an hour we were approached by multiple waitresses and the bar staff was excellent. I may stay there next time even though I loved everything else about The Monarch.

  Stayed on the 19th floor, and it was a very nice room. The concierge lounge on the 20th floor was included. Had a good continental breakfast. We also had 2 free buffets included from a mailing offer. The only bummer thing was the buffet line had an extremely hot spoon in the spanish rice, and one of us burned our hand on it. We reported it right away, but the person behind the buffet didn't seem to care. We had to let our waiter know, and then security came to file a report. Other then that we had a great stay.

  Monarch is definitely one of the best casino resorts in blackhawk barnone! Place is well maintained, things are clean and its always busy no matter what time it is. I recently went to see Lisa the host over there as many of the people I met said they matched players cards with other casinos. Unfortunately she wasnt able to do anything about it since I was a past player which really makes no sense! She told me exactly how many times i was in there and what my rate of play was, at the same time thats really not what i was looking for as im diamond plus with caesars! I didnt want to argue with her and she basically said well you can get to sapphire and royal diamond during this period if you want lol. Really didnt set well with me considering I do play many places in blackhawk. Other then that the place is nice and I noticed they are the only ones with a gym cause many dont want you doing anything else besides gambling and losing your money haha. I base going to any of these casinos on the perks and comps they give me to entice me playing at that particular casino. Hopefully monarch especially opens up the comps alittle more and the monarch app doesnt exist anymore. Granted they are always busy, I just wish they gave alittle more then they do cause I am a player and I like to be treated well. Thats all for now hopefully more in the future. Players cards reset every 6 months and not a year so you want the monarch your gonna have to gamble alot. That being said is it worth it, thats up to you to decide cause theres alot of casinos up here. Check them all out!

  I absolutely had the best time here! The service is top notch! I want to give a shout out to Rich the valet! He was the first one who took our car and he was extremely patient and helpful! He never made us wait for our car and always remembered our names and that it was our anniversary! The whole crew there including cleaning staff and front desk and guest services was fantastic! I also want to thank Aiden for his friendliness and help with our stuff at check out! He was prompt and efficient loading all our stuff and getting it to storage (he even helped load it when we were ready to go and he's a real treat! ) so that we could go down and win a little more lol as well as all the dealers who never got pushy only good attitudes with smiles and fun! We had the best anniversary trip! Thank you! 🥰

  To be honest the staff and rooms were awesome. We tried the buffet first. If you're not a seafood lover then the buffet is an expensive waste of time. I don't like seafood myself. but the wife does. So of course we went to the buffet for the seafood. A lot of the other non-seafood options seem to have been sitting out for quite a while and dried out. My other complaint is those stupid salt and pepper grinders. Not practical in a restaurant. You have to grab them with both hands in order to use them. How many other people have grabbed those grinders in the last 24 hours. Both the grinders in the buffet and the 24/7 were unclean. The next morning we thought we would try breakfast at 24/7. Unluckly we chose a time when management was having a meeting with kitchen staff. It took over 30 minutes to be served our breakfast, The hash browns that came with the meal were completely cold. Not even warm at all. When I go to breakfast at a restaurant, I pretty much always go for the Denver omelette. So I've had a few Denver omelettes from different places over the years. The one I had that morning at 24/7 was probably one of the worst. The wife and I tend to spend most of our time on the slots. I'll play the tables when there's a group of us, but when it's just the life of my I tend to stick around the wife. She likes the slots. So guess where I have to be. The slots here were terrible. We'd go through 20 bucks in minutes. So overall I would say not very good value for money.
