  We absolutely love Ara Spa and continue to come back because the experience is consistently exceptional. It has truly become one of our favorite places to relax and unwind whenever we are in Black Hawk. Our most recent visit was particularly special because we were celebrating my partner's birthday, and I have to start by recognizing April, the Spa Manager. April, along with Jocelyn, Michelle, and Justin, went above and beyond to make his birthday feel incredibly special. The thoughtful gestures and personal touches throughout our visit were so unexpected and genuinely touching. They made us feel not only welcomed, but truly cared for, and turned an already special occasion into a wonderful memory for both of us. And, of course, a huge part of why we continue returning to Ara is Tom and Dan. They are both phenomenal massage therapists—professional, attentive, incredibly skilled, and consistently exceptional. We always leave feeling completely relaxed and taken care of. At this point, seeing Tom and Dan has become something we genuinely look forward to whenever we plan a trip to Black Hawk. The spa itself is beautiful, peaceful, and impeccably maintained, but what really sets Ara apart is its people. There is a level of warmth and genuine hospitality here that makes every visit feel special. We are grateful to April, Jocelyn, Michelle, Justin, Tom, and Dan for the exceptional care they continue to show us and for making this birthday visit especially memorable. It is experiences like this that keep us coming back to Ara, and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

  I had an absolutely beautiful day at Ara Spa. Makayla was so pleasant to speak with on the phone, and then provided the best pedicure I've had in a very long time. The amenities are great and the staff are pleasant and helpful. Just a wonderful day treating myself! Recommended!!

  The amenities were cool, I wish we had known about them earlier so we could've allocated more time to relax. My massage was fine, but my wife's masseuse had long fingernails. It grossed her out and left some scratches on her. . . not good. I emailed the spa but they've never responded.

  I used to love going to this Spa for years….but that has definitely changed. I booked a massage online and chose the preference for a female masseuse due to a previous bad experience this was important to me. I was surprised that a male came in. He was very nice and apologized for the mix up and tried to see if a female was available. They were booked up and he apologized again and said he would let the front desk know not to charge. Front desk once again apologized and said no charge. I got dressed and wanted to tip the masseuse anyway for the inconvenience and was told manager changed her mind and that I would be charged anyway full price! I asked to speak to her and she of course left. The way they handled this was totally unprofessional.
