- AAAubreeMay 10, 20265.0This was our first visit to the Great Clips on Ellsworth and Rittenhouse, but all the others had wait times and closing time was looming, so we gave it a shot. To put things in context, my daughter is not an easy cut: she's neurodivergent, shy and speaks quietly, and doesn't communicate her thoughts well. She's an older teen, so I've trained her to try and find pictures of her desired outcome to show the stylist. The stylist at this location (and the ones at Ellsworth and Riggs)? Top notch. I warn them when we arrive, then ask for their most patient stylist. The stylists have been so patient and kind, and usually the haircut turns out pretty close to what she wanted. Don't worry; I try and leave a very generous tip because our needs are so particular, but I truly am impressed... and thankful. (There are a couple locations i won't go back to, but will drive the extra ten to twenty minutes to get to these locations!)

I’m generally not a fan of great clips because I hadn’t had the best experiences with stylists there previous to Mark. He does exactly what I’m thinking, even with my vague descriptions and little hair knowledge. He recommends me the best movies and he’s so fun to talk to. I don’t even need a haircut yet, but I want to go in just to see him and talk about the last movie he recommended.

If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
