- JDJames “Fit Father” D.May 7, 20261.0On May 3rd, I requested a "high and tight" fade and provided clear instructions. The stylist failed to execute the request, providing a mid-fade instead. Despite my immediate feedback to adjust the height, the correction was negligible and did not meet the specified requirements. It was evident that my instructions and the provided references were disregarded. Upon returning on May 7th to have the cut corrected, I encountered further systemic issues: Failure to Document: Despite my visit on the 3rd, there was no record of my service in your system. This indicates a failure to follow standard check-in and note-taking procedures. Billing Improperly Handled: I was required to pay for a second haircut to fix an error made by your staff four days prior. Charging a client to rectify a documented service failure is unacceptable. Inconsistency: While I have had positive experiences with one specific stylist at this location, the general lack of technical skill and refusal to follow client notes is a recurring issue I have encountered across multiple franchises. Due to this lack of professionalism and the disregard for Great Clips’ own service policies, I no longer feel my patronage is valued. Consequently, I have lost confidence in your staff's ability to provide professional results, which will be reflected in my future tipping and patronage decisions. I expect these lapses in procedure and technical execution to be addressed with the staff involved.

Well today we do that and show up at the salon, there are only 2 people working and each have someone in their chairs. My husband was next in line and one lady told him she would be right with him. Fine, sounds good. Well in walks this man and says he has a free coupon and was told to just come on in. Ok, good for him but tell me why did he get bumped up before my husband? The lady even asked him if he checked in online and he said no. So help me understand how he got to go first? Maybe the man that walked in had a bad experience and that's why he got a free haircut but she could have said something. Not just totally ignore the fact that we are sitting there, waiting and looking confused. I was ready to confront but the husband was like no. Now contemplating whether or not to come back here again.

When is Online Check-In available?
Online Check-In becomes available five minutes after the salon opens. We accept Online Check-Ins up to the point where the estimated wait time is as long as the salon will remain open, or 30 minutes before closing time at the latest.
Can I use Online Check-In for all types of services?
Online Check-In can be used for all services except perms and formal updos. Please note that not all salons offer perms. Most salons require an appointment for these services, so please call your local Great Clips salon to inquire.
Can I request a stylist using Online Check-In?
No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
