Dermal fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a naturally occurring substance that is already found in your skin. It helps keep skin plump and hydrated. HA fillers are typically soft and gel-like. The results are temporary, lasting from 6 to 24 months before the body gradually and naturally absorbs the particles. It varies from person to person because it depends on the brand and type of filler, the amount and depth of filler injected, and your own body’s metabolism. Injectable Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Dermal Fillers are indicated for deep and superficial lines and wrinkles. We inject these fillers into the skin to minimize fine lines and wrinkles and improve volume loss. As we age, sun exposure, gravity and other factors can reduce the amount of hyaluronic acid and collagen in our skin and as a result our faces naturally lose volume and develop deeper creases and folds. This loss of volume also distorts the proportions and symmetry of our face changing our youthful heart shaped face to an upside-down V or jowled appearance. Restore lost volume and fullness with anti-wrinkle dermal fillers at Desert Derma Medspa in Peoria, AZ! AREAS TREATED At Desert Derma, we offer the Versa®, Restylane® and Juvéderm® lines of Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. During your consult, you will be assessed for volume loss in your upper and lower face. Restoring volume in the cheeks helps the appearance of the undereye, lifts the area that creates nasolabial folds, and creates the jowling. Restoring the upper/mid face volume improves the entire face. Dermal fillers are also used to restore volume and soften wrinkles around the mouth, plump the lips, and add volume to other areas of the face. Augmentation of chin and jaw are used to improve profile and provide structure to the face. FAQs What are fillers? What are the most common areas treated with fillers? How long do filler results last? Are there any side effects associated with filler treatments? How do I know if a filler treatment is right for me?

What is KeraFactor? KeraFactor is a formula that combines bio-identical polypeptides for scalp rejuvenation. It is a potent anti-inflammatory and anti-androgenic compound, consisting of high concentrations of growth factors important for hair health. How does KeraFactor differ from using PRP Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a 30-60 minute procedure where blood drawn from the patient is spun in a centrifuge to increase the patient’s platelets and then applied or injected into the scalp. Results can be inconsistent as the growth factors available are already in the patient’s blood. If a patient is highly deficient in one of many growth factors needed for hair health, the PRP procedure may not be effective. Additionally, one of the typical growth factors found in blood, TGF b1, may block hair follicles’ transition into the anagen (new growth) phase. How do we create optimal absorption? The Lutronic LaseMD Ultra is used to create micro channels in the scalp, then the KeraFactor is applied. topically This treatment takes as little as 10 minutes, and has little to no discomfort and no downtime. One study shoes the enhanced absorption of nano-liposomes is five times higher because of the sponge-like micro columns unique properties. Absorption of the KeraFactor Serum helps to promote denser, thicker and fuller skin, and conditions the skin for a healthy-looking scalp. What are the recommended treatment options? There are two recommended options concerning timing and number of treatments: using the KeraLase treatment with Lutronic’s LaseMD Ultra. Each session should begin with a scalp treatment, followed by applying the KeraFactor Serum. One treatment session every two to four weeks for 12 to 24 weeks (6 total treatments). One treatment session every month for 3-6 months (3-6 total treatments), AND participants should apply KeraFactor Solution and shampoo at home each day in between treatments. What happens when a patient stops using KeraFactor Serum? There are no long term studies, but anecdotal evidence suggest patients may maintain results for up to 12 months. In clinic maintenance is recommended every 3-6 months. It is recommended to use the take-home Solution and Shampoo to maintain results. What should patients expect? While everyone is different, improvement in viable scalp, skin and an increase in hair’s thicker appearance may be visible within 2-3 months. Most patients see improvement three months post treatment series, with the maximum results occurring between 6 and 12 months after the entire treatment course. Who is not a candidate?
