Medium Length Haircuts

Medium length haircuts offer a perfect balance between short and long styles, giving you the flexibility to create different looks without the hassle of maintaining long hair.

Long Length Haircuts

Pixie Cut

The pixie cut is a short and chic style that adds texture and volume to your hair. This cut is perfect for those looking for a low-maintenance look that frames the face and adds personality.

Crew Cut

The crew cut is a classic, short hairstyle where hair on the sides is kept very short, while the top is slightly longer, offering a neat, professional appearance that’s easy to maintain.

Pompadour

The retro-inspired pompadour is a voluminous style where the hair is swept up and back, creating height and structure.

Bald Fade

The bald fade haircut transitions from longer hair on top to a clean, skin-close finish on the sides and back.

Layered Bob

The layered bob is cut with the bottom layer falling between the ears and shoulders, with additional layers added for dimension and texture. This versatile style enhances movement and works for all hair types and textures.

Long Layers

Long layers maintain your length while adding movement and volume. They blend seamlessly into your haircut, with options for subtle layering at the ends or more dramatic layers throughout for extra dimension.

Mens Hairstyles

Men's hairstyles at Great Clips range from classic clipper cuts to bold bald fades and stylish short layers. Whatever your style, your local Great Clips salon can give you a great cut every time.

Blunt Bob

The one-length bob is a sleek, no-layer cut that typically falls above the shoulders. Its even length creates a polished, versatile look that can be styled in multiple ways.

Lob

The lob, or long bob, is a trendy cut that’s slightly longer than a traditional bob, typically falling around shoulder length.

Kids Hairstyles

Great Clips makes kids’ haircuts easy and stress-free. Whether it’s their first trim or a fun new style, we ensure they leave looking great and feeling comfortable.

Taper

A taper haircut gradually shortens the hair from the top to the sides and back, providing a clean and blended look.

Angled Bob

The angled bob features a sharp cut where the front is longer than the back, creating an asymmetrical look.

Bixie

The bixie haircut blends the bob and pixie for a stylish, low-maintenance look. With layers throughout for movement and texture, it typically falls around the jawline or just above the shoulders. Face-framing layers can be added for extra definition.

Short Fade

The short fade is a clean and sharp haircut that fades from longer hair at the top down to a short or shaved style on the sides.

Women’s hairstyles encompass a wide variety of cuts, with variable lengths and shapes, from sharp bobs to flowing layers.

Went in and just wanted a trim. I already had layers, so didn’t think would be too hard. Guadalupe assured me it would be no problem. She was nice and said how she had been cutting hair for more than 30 years. At the end of the cut, she put some product in my hair since I have a natural wave. When I got home, I washed and straightened it like I normally do and was HORRIFIED to see the damage she did to my hair. Completely chopped, uneven (like my layers were diagonal!) and blunt. I cried because I had never seen such a bad haircut. Even put up in a pony tail it looked sooooo bad! Manager offered for me to come back to fix it but there is no way I would ever step into that establishment for a haircut again!

Lisa was the first stylist in years who was able to work with my thick wavy hair and four cowlicks, to texturize exactly the style I wanted!

Boy they cannot seem to get exactly what I asked for every time. I mean did you know how to cut hair but they just don't seem to listen or even care. This time I went in probably waited nearly an hour and a half after checking in then found out I got bumps in the back of the line at least two three times. I wonder if any of The barbers there even know the difference between a regular fade or a low fade. Oh well maybe just go to Walmart from now on.

I left extremely disappointed, not only with my haircut but with how my concerns were handled afterward. I came in with pictures and explained to Mara hat I wanted a medium-length graduated/blunt cut with some stacking in the back, while specifically not wanting an overly stacked or “mushroom” shape. I gave some flexibility with the exact length and told my stylist that as long as she did not go shorter than my jaw, I trusted her judgment. The problem is not simply that my hair ended up so much shorter than I anticipated. The actual cut is extremely uneven and disconnected. My left and right sides are different lengths, the sides do not connect properly with the back, the back is longer than the front despite the shape I requested, and I have uneven pieces underneath that visibly stick out. The ends are choppy rather than a clean, blunt line. She repeatedly went back and cut more hair trying to even things out, which resulted in significantly more length being removed than should have been necessary. When she showed me the finished cut, I immediately noticed how uneven it still was and missed hair pieces. At that point I asked her to please even the few pieces and eventually told her to stop cutting because correcting ended up over correcting and needed to cut the entire side again and made it even shorter than my request. What bothered me most was the response when I expressed that I was unhappy. Instead of acknowledging the visible unevenness or discussing how it could be addressed, I was repeatedly told that she had asked me what I wanted and blamed it on me- that next time I needed to bring a better picture and be more clearer so the stylist could understand me. I understand that communication between a client and stylist is important, and I am completely willing to own that a stylist may interpret a requested shape differently than I imagined. But a difference in interpretation does not explain an objectively uneven haircut. Both sides should still match. The sections should connect. There should not be random longer pieces underneath or an obviously choppy perimeter. I also have some experience cutting hair, which is why I became concerned during the appointment when I saw how large some of the sections being taken were. I ultimately stayed quiet because I wanted to trust the professional doing my hair rather than micromanage her work. I left feeling embarrassed by the haircut and, more importantly, blamed for the result when I tried to point out legitimate problems with the execution. My hair is already much shorter than I wanted, and properly correcting the unevenness now means losing even more length. A haircut can grow back. What made this experience especially upsetting was leaving feeling as though I had caused a technically poor haircut simply because I apparently did not explain myself well enough. I expected my concerns to at least be heard and acknowledged. I added the photo I did show here for reference.

UPDATE #2: My situation was unique in the fact that my hair was once beautiful, thick and down to the middle of my back. A severe health crisis 2.5 years ago caused massive breakage and thinning. I finally got it to stop but was left with short hair just a few inches below my shoulders. Every day was a bad hair day that left me in tears. I decided to suck it up, stop crying and do something about it. My only option was to get it trimmed and shaped by a professional. My regular stylist was MIA so I decided to try Great Clips. I didn't expect much for an $18 trim, and wasn't completely disappointed. She did the best she could with what she had to work with. I know it was bad. I did jyst get a random compliment today (2 weeks later and a day after I received a refund last night! Go figure!) on my hair by a total stranger, who was a retired stylist. She said out of the blue it was a hard cut to pull off, yet it looked really good. I didn't even have a convo with this person about the situation. So her compliment was authentic and genuine. (I wasn't really upset with the cut itself, but in the manner in which it was cut. See below.) UPDATE #1: Manager called me personally and just refunded my money. While I was there she saw the stylist doing the same thing to another client that she'd done to me, which was to have the client turned sideways in the chair so we couldn't see what she was doing in the mirror. Manager promised to address the issue immediately after I left. When I had asked the stylist to turn the chair so I could watch what she was doing in the mirror, she stopped cutting, turned the chair for two seconds so I could see how much she'd whacked off (3-4 inches!!!) and then spun the chaor back around so I couldn't see what she was chopping off. That, to me, was unprofessional. I needed to be able to see what she was doing, while she was doing it. Having overcome a near death experience and fighting for my life, then losing nearly everything, including my hair, was a psychological mind muck. I needed to be able to process without losing my chit completely. To her, it was just hair. To me... it was a whole lot more.
