- DSDre SmithMay 23, 20265.0I want to sincerely recognize the General Manager, I believe his name was David, at The NOW Massage in Chandler, Arizona for an outstanding level of customer service. I actually reached this location unintentionally while trying to find a central or corporate contact for The NOW after a frustrating experience with another location. Even though the issue had nothing to do with the Chandler studio, the General Manager did not dismiss me, rush me off the phone, or make me feel like I had reached the wrong person. Instead, he listened with patience, empathy, and professionalism. My girlfriend and I are long-time members of The NOW, and we had recently been dealing with a stressful situation involving a chemical spill emergency and mandatory evacuation orders near our home. We had cancelled a massage appointment within the required timeframe through the app, but another location still charged us and removed our credits. When I explained what happened, the Chandler GM immediately took the situation seriously. What stood out most was that he took ownership of a problem he did not create. He looked up our accounts, contacted our home membership location in Long Beach, apologized multiple times on behalf of the brand, and assured us he would follow up. Within about 15 minutes, he called back with an update and the issue was being handled. That type of service is rare. He could have easily told us to contact another location or redirected us elsewhere, but instead he chose to help. He showed the kind of leadership, accountability, and care that makes customers feel valued. The NOW is fortunate to have someone like him representing the brand. His professionalism turned a very stressful experience into a reminder that great customer service still exists. I truly appreciate his help and hope his leadership is recognized.

I arrived at the location and was greeted by a kind young lady who confirmed my appointment and told me Madison would be with me shortly. The atmosphere in the lobby felt minimalistic and comfortable. After a couple minutes Madison came out and welcomed me into a transition room where she thoroughly asked me questions about areas where I needed focus or had concerns. After that she led me into a large room with multiple curtain alcoves in which we entered one and she gave me privacy to undress and lay on the table. She came in and proceeded to give me THE most relaxing massages I’ve ever had. She took the notes we spoke of and did the job perfectly. When I left I felt like a lavender scented battle rope. Madison walked me out, asked if I had any concerns and gave me a suggestion to keep my body healthy. I was very satisfied with the experience, thank you!

I stopped the session after 15 min and they still charged me $60. No real rooms. Ratty rugs on the floor and fake fur throws to cover you. I got bug bites on my arm and leg on one side. Very expensive for the horrible experience. The massage therapist was young with minimal training. Don’t waste your money. They told me all the facilities are the same. Rip off.

The front desk staff is always warm, welcoming, and efficient. They remember who I am and always make the check-in process quick and easy, which I really appreciate. For most of my visits since joining, I’ve seen Alex, and he has been fantastic. He’s highly skilled, especially when it comes to deep tissue massage, and does a great job focusing on specific areas whenever requested. I would absolutely recommend The NOW to anyone looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It’s a great place to slow down, recharge, and take a moment to truly be “in the now.”

When should I arrive for my massage?
Please aim to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled massage to permit ample time for check-in. As a courtesy to other members and guests, we must start and end each massage service at the scheduled time; accordingly, we will not be able to extend the time of your service if you arrive late.
How do I book a massage?
You can schedule an appointment online at www.thenowmassage.com, through The NOW Massage app, or by contacting the boutique directly by phone. We also welcome walk-ins, but due to high demand, we recommend scheduling in advance.
How do I cancel a service that I’ve scheduled?
A booked massage can be canceled by logging into your account on the website, through The NOW Massage app, or by calling the boutique. Please be aware of our late cancellation policy. We respectfully request at least 12 hours notice if you need to cancel or rebook your massage appointment. We charge 50% of the reservation made to the credit card on file to compensate our staff for missed wages when there is a last minute cancellation.
What if I fail to show for a scheduled massage or arrive late?
If you miss your appointment or arrive 15 minutes past your scheduled service start time, the service is automatically canceled and the full price of the scheduled service is charged to the credit card on file. To ensure a relaxing experience, and get the full benefits of the massage, we advise guests to arrive on time (or early) for all scheduled appointments.
How can I cancel my membership?
Ritual Members can cancel their recurring dues membership at any time by providing their boutique with 30-days written notice stating the desire to cancel. You may cancel in-person at the boutique or by sending an email to the boutique where your membership was purchased. All boutique contact information can be found under the locations page on our website.
Note: In states where required by applicable law, in addition to the above, you can also choose to cancel your membership through choosing the cancellation option on your membership profile online.
How long do I have to use massage credits?
Membership credits can accrue indefinitely until a Ritual Membership is canceled. Unused massage credits will continue to accrue (i.e., roll-over month-to-month) as long as your membership remains in place. You will have 3 months from the date of cancellation to use any unused massage credits before they expire. No refunds are issued for unused credits.
Can I freeze my membership?
The freeze policy allows you to temporarily suspend your Ritual Membership in accordance with the following terms: You may freeze your membership up to three(3) months per contractual year. Please see our Terms of Service for more details.
Do you accept gift cards?
Yes, we accept gift cards for The NOW Massage services and products. Gift card terms and conditions do apply. For more details on our gift card program, please refer to our Terms of Service.
Do you permit minors to use services?
Yes, unless the state, province or territory prohibit it by law, The NOW Massage makes services available to minors between the ages of 13 and 17. What if I’m not feeling well?
If you are feeling sick or unwell prior to the start of your scheduled massage, we encourage you to stay home. The NOW Massage boutique is an open-space concept and keeping guests and team members safe is everyone’s responsibility. If you begin to feel sick during your treatment, please let your Massage therapist know immediately.
What is the NOW's policy related to cell phone use at the boutique?
We aim to create a safe and relaxing environment for our members and guests. The tranquility offered within our space is paramount. Cell phones can be disruptive and are not encouraged. Although we do allow cell phones at the boutique, we require that the phones be turned off or switched to silent mode upon check-in.
Can I return purchased items?
Yes, if you’ve purchased items in a boutique, we accept returns in original condition (unused, undamaged and unopened in the original packaging) within seven days from the date of purchase. All items purchased in a boutique are only eligible for return or exchange in the same location it was purchased. Because jewelry is made-to-order, jewelry is eligible for exchange only.
If you’ve purchased items online – through The NOW’s website – we accept returns in original conditions (unused, undamaged and unopened in original packaging) provided you first obtain a return authorization number, which you can request by emailing shop@thenowmassage.com. The return authorization number must be written clearly on the outside of the box. Return and exchange shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility and the original shipping charge is nonrefundable.
