  Great first experience with the salon and with Jordan! The facility is clean and well organized, prices reasonable, and Jordan was very helpful adapting my inspiration pic to what would work with my hair, very personable and fun to talk with. I never make my followup appointments but already have one this time!

  I recently moved to Huntsville near Providence and found the Society Salon. I blind booked a consult with Halee for balayage and it couldn’t have been a better fit. The salon itself is super clean and has great lighting. Halee is a complete superstar and so sweet. Right from the beginning she listened to what I was looking for and we were on the same page. I have spent so many hours in foil because I have a ton of hair. Halee had me foiled, washed, a conditioning treatment, cut and dried in about 3 hours. I’ve had other stylist take upwards of 7 hours for the same process ! If you are looking for blonde and not wanting to sit for an entire day…. Halee is your girl !

  Halee is seriously the BEST!! She absolutely killed my hair! 🤍 She is the sweetest, most genuine person, and I always leave her chair loving my hair. I’m honestly not the best at explaining exactly what I want, but somehow she nails it every single time. She also does such a great job keeping my hair healthy, and she makes the maintenance so easy for someone like me who doesn’t want to constantly be getting my hair done. I genuinely trust her with my hair completely and couldn’t recommend her more!! If you’re looking for someone who will listen to you, make your hair look amazing, and actually care about keeping it healthy, go see Halee!

  I love my stylist and this salon! I get highlights and extensions, and my hair always turns out beautiful. Mckena is incredibly talented, but what I appreciate most is how much she genuinely cares about the health of my hair. I also can’t say enough good things about one of the salon owners, Marissa. After I had an emergency with my hair and scalp following a visit to a previous salon last year, they both went above and beyond to help me with hair and scalp care and made sure I felt comfortable with the entire process. They were so kind, and knowledgeable during a situation that was really stressful for me. It’s rare to find people who are not only amazing at what they do, but who truly care about their clients. I’m so thankful I found them and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my highlights and extensions! ❤️

  Okay, it has taken me forever to write this as I am still unpacking from my out-of-state move and the littles take all the rest of my time. I booked a full highlight/lowlight and a haircut. Kinsey wasn’t there to cut my hair so Alyssa did my cut. I absolutely loved Alyssa, she was so sweet and did an excellent job cutting my hair. She went above and beyond by doing a wet cut and then a dry cut to make sure it was perfect. However, it was strange that they booked my cut before color, as I have always had my hair cut after having it colored. After my cut, McKena took over and the coloring process began. Let me preface by saying that this was the first time McKena had ever done my hair. I went on the website to find someone knowledgeable in color and chose her because she was a “level 3.” I had always trusted Hunter with my hair, however, for some reason, I didn’t see an option to book with her online. My goal was to go dark blonde with highlights. I showed her the following picture of the color I wanted for my dark blonde and then explained that I wanted the lighter blonde pieces, that were already ashy, I wanted to be brighter. She told me that toner would brighten my toned ashy blonde pieces which was the first red flag as I am well aware that the medium blonde pieces were already toned ashy and needed to be lifted. The last thing they needed was an ash toner!!!!!😳 Let me note that I am extremely knowledgeable in color as I have years of experience working with color and, as an example, have used Redken Shades EQ on my own hair for several years now. In fact, I showed her a picture of how my hair was at graduation last year and she asked me the formula I used because she liked it so much. Having years of experience with color, it was very hard for me to trust someone with coloring my hair. As you can see in the photos provided, my hair turned out nothing like I had asked for in the photos. Throughout the coloring process, I asked which products and colors she was using and she said she used Redken shades 6A, 6N, and 6NB. I was a little worried as I am well aware that putting such a dark color over top of ashy porous blonde hair will grab even darker and the blonde needs to be properly filled first to deposit the pigments that have been stripped from bleaching. Otherwise, it will turn out muddy and dull. I should have spoken up and I did say that I was hoping the 6NB would be enough to fill the blonde even though I knew better as she was mixing it with a 6A!! If you don’t know color, A is ash. That’s a big “no-no” when darkening bright blonde. Moreover, after putting lowlights throughout my hair, she puts an ASH TONER/Glaze, on my hair!!!!!! I wish I had spoken up, yet again, but I really shouldn’t have to tell a colorist how to do her job. In other words, she puts ash over the top of my already ashy medium blonde porous pieces resulting in a dark grey. Throughout this process, she also asked if I had a budget and I kept telling her over and over that I was limited on money as my husband and I just bought our first house and I am between jobs so this was a gift from my mom. Turns out she added on several services I wasn’t aware of until after the fact and instead of it being closer to $200 it turned out to be well over $300. My mother gifted me $220 and I had to charge the rest because she decided to add on all these services I never wanted!! I feel completely scammed and after everything, I paid $300 for a terrible coloring service. I literally don't even want to leave the house because of what a horrible color job she did. I am so unhappy with my hair color. I would definitely go back to Alyssa and highly recommend her. However, you have been warned if you decide to book with McKena. I have posted a photo of how I did my hair for graduation with Redken Shades. Moreover, I posted photos of the dark blonde I requested and the results of Mckena’s botched coloring job.
