If I could give less I would. We booked an appointment. We uploaded pictures front and back of head and an inspiration photo. We were "matched" with a stylist. When we arrived the stylist said she wasn't experienced enough to do what we wanted. She also couldn't do any of our other suggestions. She got someone with more experience, who said she didn't have time to do it. Finally talked to the manager. We were then told that after you do all that in the system (photo uploads ECT) you are also supposed to email them. It doesn't say that on their site but we are just supposed to know. She explained how I am the one that messed up because I didn't do this extra step and she was just educating me for the future. Thanks for that I guess. If any event, not all of the stylist are well trained, their system is completely useless, and their "manager" has a serious lack of problem solving skills. Save yourself the headache, go somewhere else.

I was very grateful for the inital consultation, I think it’s special that they try to match you with a stylist that shares your interests but also you hair goals. On top of that, even your budget! I’ve walked past this salon several times when we’ve taken a trip to providence and it was intimidating because I thought you’d have to spend $1000 to get your hair done there- not at all!!! I am incredibly grateful that not only my stylist Mattie was so sweet, but they seem to have a very good work culture where everyone around was sweet too. I am even more grateful she was able to lighten my hair far better than expectations and more importantly without excess damage. The mood in the salon is very relaxing, it’s quiet but not silent, if you have back issues- their chairs at the wash station are a life changer 🥺 it is special to be able to have comfort there. I have a long, very noise excessive work day and it was wonderful to stop and have some quiet time and such a good experience. (I also live an hour from the salon and I would travel there without question every time). Thank yall for providing a special environment, and I am so happy for you that you have such a beautiful and special business set up. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you, Mattie!!! 🩵

The facility is great, but unfortunately my booking and haircut experience was very disappointing. I booked a Level 5 master online and didn’t receive a confirmation email, so I called and was told my appointment was confirmed. At the salon, my appointment was checked and confirmed again, and I was asked to wait. After waiting about 15-20 minutes, I was told the appointment actually wasn’t scheduled because they had mistaken me for another client. Twice? I had given them my name both times when confirming the appointment, both by phone and in person. I was offered another stylist, who was Level 3. I brought a picture and clearly discussed what I wanted, including soft, blended layers and styling with lifted hair on the top near face. Unfortunately, the result was nothing like what I requested: the layers were chunky and almost nonexistent—it looks almost like a straight haircut. The hair was left heavy and nearly the same length, and the top was flat after styling despite asking for more lift. Fair to say, both the stylist and the manager (Level 5, whom I had initially tried to book) were very nice and tried to explain the result. They suggested that the picture was AI-generated, that my hair texture was different, and that the haircut actually matched the picture, while at the same time contradictorily saying that they could keep trying to match the picture. But I gave up, and it was already late in the evening. They also explained that I have too much hair in some places, which is why it lays flat and heavy there—“this is what layers are for, to make it lighter and lift it”—and that I have thinning hair in the front, which is why it is flat there—“this is what products and styling are for.” I have had layered haircuts for decades, and this was simply not what I consider soft layers. The result honestly felt to me more like a haircut I would expect from a cosmetology student than from an experienced professional. The salon’s other work shown in the review pictures looks beautiful, particularly long hair and color/highlights. Unfortunately, based on my experience, shorter haircuts requiring layering, texturing, and styling may not be their strength. Update: Thank you, Marissa, for the response. However, it appears to be a generic copy-and-paste apology and does not address the specific concerns described in my review, particularly the haircut itself and the fact that I was not informed upfront if the requested haircut was considered unachievable with my hair. I appreciate the invitation to continue the conversation privately, but I believe these concerns are relevant to my public review. Given the circumstances, I believe I should be reimbursed for the haircut/service.

I went in to get to hair cuts for my girls. The process took less than ten minutes. Less than an inch was taken from my seven year old, and about 3 inches for my teenager. This was my first time at this location, we had to park in a parking garage because the traffic was busy and parking spots were taken up. None-the-less, I did not account for all this when I headed their way. I ended up walking in 6 minutes late. The app noted that both my girls were booked, but it did not note my second daughter's reasoning for her appointment. No big deal, it took less than ten minutes to complete both cuts. 7 minutes with one stylest and five for the other. The appointment allotted for up to an hour, however the stylist came over to me and told me before she even started that they would only have time for a dry cut and the color consultation. Turns out neither of the stylist were qualified for vibrant color treatment so they'd have to find someone else. I said that was find, but I still wanted my girls to get the was and dry. After quickly cutting their hair they went up front to discuss the consultation. I told them this is not the issue, i'd rather them stop waisting time and finish my girls hair. At this point I still had 30 minutes left of my appointment. Plenty of time to was and dry their hair. Finally the woman that checked me in seen that it got done, but it was way more work than it was worth to get a back to school hair cut, $95 later.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ RUN—don’t walk—to Society Salon! Can we just take a moment to appreciate a salon that actually gets it right every single time? Jordan has been my stylist for a while now, and I swear she has magic in those hands. Every appointment is amazing, but today’s experience absolutely knocked it out of the park! She doesn’t just do hair—she creates confidence. She listens, she’s honest, she’s incredibly talented, and somehow I leave looking better than I imagined every single time. But here’s what really sets Society Salon apart…it’s the people. The second you walk through the door, you’re greeted with genuine smiles and kindness. There’s no pretentious vibe—just a team of talented professionals who make you feel welcome, appreciated, and completely taken care of. In a world where great customer service is becoming rare, Society Salon raises the bar. Beautiful hair? ✔️ Amazing customer service? ✔️ Incredible atmosphere? ✔️ Five-star experience every single visit? Absolutely! And the wine is good. Jordan, thank you for always making me feel beautiful and for caring so much about your clients. Society Salon has earned a customer for life, and I couldn’t recommend this place more. If you’re not getting your hair done here…what are you even doing? 💇‍♀️✨💕 God has definitely blessed Society Salon!
