My daughter and i went for highlights. I asked for lightest blonde highlights and ended up with medium to dark blonde all over with barely visible highlights which is pretty much exactly what i had when I went in. I told a stylist it wasn’t what I told her.. I did not get a hair cut or style. They wanted to charge $360, but I was irate so they charged $250!
My daughter wanted blonde highlights too, and she ended up with gray hair. I asked her if she wanted gray hair. She said she wanted blonde. I asked the stylist what can you do about it? No one would respond to me. They were all talking to each other but they weren’t responding to me. I asked over and over: What can you do to fix this? Can you put a toner on to warm the color up? The lady did finally respond by just getting ready to put another toner on without discussing things first. I had to force her to discuss it. She was about to put a brown toner which would have gotten completely rid of the highlights altogether. She left my y daughter with choppy streaks of light cool gray blonde and a large portion of it or rather all of the bottom ends of her hair are still gray. She left with dripping wet hair because the stylist said she couldn’t dry it or style it because the toner would come out so she had dripping wet hair which soaked her blouse. We arrived at 12:00 and left at 6. They left chemicals in our hair for a very long time. She does have a lot of curly hair, which they couldn’t handle They ended up charging me $250 for my color and $360 for hers. i paid a total of $610. We will have to try to get this fixed somewhere else. They don’t take the time to listen; there is s huge communication problem there. Another thing is, apparently they assumed that my daughter and i weren’t on the same page and so they separated her from me by moving her to the opposite side of the room and they were whispering to her to I could see the manager whispering something to her. I was concerned that she was being ugly to her because of the way she walked quickly over there with a stern look on her face and leaned down close to my daughters face whispering. I said to the manager, “What are you saying to to my daughter?” She walked across the room to me and said “I want to see if what we’re going to do is what she wants or what you want.” I said, “I want her to have what she wants!!! We were just trying to discuss what she wanted!” Then she said, “Fine. We’ll just do what you want” . I said, “No. We’re discussing what she wants. I don’t understand what the problem is? Are we bothering you? What is the problem? I want her to have what she wants! We’re trying to find out what it is she wants!” I wanted to make sure that what she wanted was communicated to the stylist. My daughter showed the stylist a photo of which afterwards they said the photo was of gray hair and neither i nor my daughter saw gray hair when looking at the exact same photo. It is definitely not worth the $$ New York City prices. I wouldn’t mind paying if I could get the hairstyle and color i asked for, but especially in my daughter’s case to leave with hair too short in the front, (she wanted a layered cut and got a bob in front and long hair in back!) bad color and dripping wet with now wet clothes!!!! Nope. My stylist was going to redo my color, but she just wanted to redo without discussing it first, so i said no, I can’t do that because i don’t know what you are going to do and my head really hurts too much. She wasn't going to talk about it. Basically i think that is their biggest problem. No one wants to get it cleared up as to what the client is looking for and wants done in the beginning. They just want to jump in and assume that they know what you are wanting. They talk it over with each other but not enough with the client. They left the color on for a very long time. We were there at noon and left at 6 pm. Overall very costly, very time consuming, six hours and very bad at listening. Run away!!!

Do not go here if you are looking for modern haircut that requires experience.
Unfortunately the lady I got did not have the experience and asked for help from another stylist. The 2nd stylist had to service a client and left, so the original stylist continued. Then the manager stopped and took scissors from her and started cutting. The hair was not at all like I asked, the A line, or Bob haircut. Even with sharing pictures of what I wanted when I walked in. And the orginal lady promised me she knew how to cut it before starting. What could I do when she had already cut my hair at the beginning!
They hurried me off not giving me a mirrior at the end to see result from back. No shape at all. Paid over $120. Horrible experience. That's what I get for being considerate. But can't shake the feeling of being robbed.
