I went in today for a $50 dollar cut and blow dry which includes a shampoo and style. The stylist, I'm not going to call her out, cut my hair dry, it took 15 minutes, and said 'okay, I'll walk you up front'. I even tipped her! I am such an idiot. I should have spoken up but I am too much of a people pleaser, I guess. The cut is acceptable now, I hope it is after I wash and style it.
Saddened & disappointed because getting a haircut should ideally be a pleasant experience. Nobody cares about customer service anymore.

My friend went to someone named Shawn * he is VERY HEAVY handed. He used a fine tooth comb to detangle on curly dry hair. Barely blowdried it out she had to mention to him could you go over it again considering he was about to trim her hair while wet and dry. Do your research I know they are not bad but him maybe so

I recently visited the JCPenney Salon for a trim and a Redken hair treatment. During my appointment, my stylist, TC, and I agreed that no more than two inches would be trimmed. I relayed to her several times during the appointment that I wanted to keep as much length as possible. However, she ended up cutting off approximately 6 to 7 inches of my hair. Only one layer was added, which is significantly shorter than the rest, and the overall cut is uneven—specifically, the right side is about half an inch longer than the left.
Regarding the Redken treatment, I was charged $30, but all that was done was the application of a product that was quickly rinsed out with very uncomfortably hot water. TC also told me that straightening my hair was necessary for proper layering but failed to disclose the additional fees involved until after the service was completed. These included $15 for blow drying, $20 for straightening, and $15 for the length of my hair—none of which were clearly communicated beforehand.
The blow-drying and straightening process was done roughly and unprofessionally. Hair spray was sprayed directly toward my face, and the haircut was ultimately uneven and significantly shorter than what was discussed. My hair, which I’ve spent years growing out, is now difficult to style, and the one short layer falls out even when I attempt a simple ponytail.
To make matters worse, TC quietly relayed the upcharges to the front desk, so I was unaware of the full cost until after I had paid—totaling $100. I also wear glasses, which I removed for the appointment, and I had informed her that I couldn’t see well without them. This made it difficult for me to assess the cut until it was too late.
Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience. I cannot recommend TC or the JCPenney Salon based on this visit. The lack of transparency, poor execution, and disregard for customer expectations were unacceptable.
I am truly devastated and embarrassed.

Horrible horrible employees and service. scheduled an appointment 2 days in advance with the manager, with her suggestion of using Shane. When we get there 30 minutes early before him. The girl at the desk makes a face and says he isn't going to do it bc he doesn't cut kid's hair. So we wait and once he gets there, I see him look at us and shake his head no and repeatedly said no, nu uh he's not going to do it. My daughter doesn't fight cuts or move. If he doesn't cut kid's hair, I should've been told that. Terrible service. For someone that doesn't work with kids, he sure acted like a child in front of customers.
