  This is the first time I have been to Sephora in our local Kohl’s and will absolutely be the last. I had went in to get my birthday gift with my husband and son and was hoping to get some Summer Friday lip glosses. I went and an associate helped me with my birthday gift and after I was done picking it up I went to look around for the lip glosses. As we are walking around I didn’t hear another associate speak to us and had turned around and apologized and acknowledged her. As we were leaving she said bye have a good day and I responded back to her and told her yes maam you too and she then says as we are past her “or not” and I turned around and i had stated that I had responded back and she said yeah I heard you but he didn’t say anything back and pointed to my husband. I looked at her confused and asked why did she need my hiss and to respond back to her and she said it was the polite thing to do and I had told her that he didn’t say anything earlier either so I’m not sure why it’s a problem now. And she said that she was talking to 2 adults and only one of them is responding. I then find out that she is a manager and proceeds to be condescending when I ask for the corporate number. I guess don’t go into this establishment with your husband or if you do make sure you coach your husband to pay the manager extra attention and make sure he makes her feel special because I can only assume she wants attention from men. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I wish Sephora was still in the mall. This location is the worst.

  I went in last week wanting to try new scents and I don’t know if she’s a manager but MELANIE?! Yes. She knows her stuff about fragrances. She was layering like a pro. I need her every single time I go in there. She’s amazing.

  So walked into the store I was impressed very clean everything in order and I went to the department that I needed to go to which was Sephora there was only one clerk for the entire Sephora store. What does that mean? Yes a long wait! I just went in for one product it was for a birthday gift and I needed it. It wasn't for that I would have walked out. The clerk made up for it she's very sweet kind and very helpful in spite of it all I would go back.

  I am assuming since the store is rather new perhaps the associates have not had customer service training. That can be my only logical explanation for what I experienced the other night. The sales associate was at the register on her phone. Never once looked up. I stood right next to the register by the men's cologne and wondered out loud if they had what I was looking for. No acknowledgement. So I left.
