- JWJessica WebbJun 16, 20252.0I booked a kid’s cut for my 11 year old daughter (stated as $20 when booking). Carmen tried to charge $55 and after much discussion, dropped it to $45 as if it was a favor. She said she blow dried the hair and curled it and that was extra. I mentioned that blow dry is a part of the service listed and she said that is only for one pass with the hand dryer and the child leaves with wet hair for the $20 price. The curling charge is what she dropped and later I learned that she asked my daughter twice if she wanted it curled and she said no both times, just blow dried. I’ve been up charged many times at this salon without my consent but it’s usually about $10 extra so I’ve just dealt with it. This time I’m done- I don’t know why I tolerated this for so long. $20 - $55?!? Without saying anything or asking for permission? Not anymore! Also, I tipped $10 on the final $45 bill so it cannot be said I did anything wrong. Edited to add that Carmen was late to the appointment as she was shopping around the store with a co-worker. No apologies were given for this inconvenience. She even had to be paged twice for her to come back to the salon.
