The first person who cut my hair is named Steph seemed new, so I tried to be understanding. When I left and went to a nail salon, the nail techs immediately commented on how bad my hair looked. That’s when I knew it wasn’t just me. I went back the same day to explain my concerns and give them a second chance. Most of the staff seemed unsure of how to handle my hair until someone named Priscilla offered to help. She told me the reason my hair didn’t come out right was because it was too thick, that my hair type couldn’t achieve the style, and that I still had layers. I know that isn’t true because a stylist at this same location used to cut my hair in the exact style I wanted. I later found out she no longer works there. It looked somewhat okay when I left, but once I got home, my whole family said it still looked bad. I ended up going to another salon, where they were appalled at how my hair looked. They were able to fix it, but they had to cut it shorter to make it look right. They also told me the explanations I was given at Great Clips were not accurate. I cannot explain how angry and sad I am about this. I take a lot of pride in my long hair, and they ruined it right before a major moment in my life. I am graduating in a few days and taking photos soon, and now I have to reschedule my photoshoot and won’t have the long hair I’ve worked so hard to grow. This experience was devastating
