  Got a curly haircut with Jahqia (Jah), who was incredibly professional and kind. She listened to exactly what I wanted and delivered from the cut all the way down to the style. So glad to have a hairstylist in Houston that I now trust. Will definitely be back to get my hair cut with her again!

  Really enjoyed my first experience at Salon Rose! I received and blow dry and trim. Everyone was so calm and sweet. Will definitely be back again!

  My experience today was the best one yet. Kristin was my stylist and I can’t sing her praises enough. She is first of all very sweet and exudes grace through her speech, demeanor, and her talented hands. I am very tender headed but I did not feel any pain AT ALL. I’m honestly shocked! What sorcery?! I had another appointment after this one and Kristin was conscious of my time; she was fast and precise with her movements while still being extremely gentle on my hair. It’s not my first or second time at this salon, but Kristin is set apart. I left the chair feeling good about my hair and better educated on how to care for it myself at home. I made sure not to leave the salon without knowing her usual work schedule, lol, I plan on sticking beside her :) Thank you Salon Rose and thank you KRISTIN.

  I had a wonderful first visit at Salon Rose. I showed up with a 6-day-old wash n' go and my appointment started on time with stylist Jah. She asked questions about how I typically care for and style my hair, walked me through each step of the Curly Cut process (includes wash, condition, and style), shared some tips for better hair hydration, and double checked I was happy with the shape and length. The salon is clean and the whole experience was very chill with great music playing. I carefully watched how Jah styled my hair so I could attempt to replicate it at home with the products she used (she wasn't pushy at all, I asked her to show me what she was using and bought them as I left), and so far so good! I'll definitely be back for another curly cut.

  I am hesitant to post as I have never left a Google review in my life, however after seeing several women here post similar reviews -- I feel the need to voice the terrible experience I had with Kenn. Today was actually my second time to the salon -- it's lovely (clean, timely, great music, and decor) -- so I returned despite my better judgement as my experience with Kenn was even worse this time around. The first time I got feed in braids, and Kenn was extremely rude and short with me - she told me I had the wrong hair, the braids wouldn't look right, and kept complaining that I hadn't properly blowdried my hair. I gave her the benefit of the doubt since I had been late to the appointment and was likely standing between her and dinner. She did a great job, so why not return for a Curly Cut? BAD DECISION. Today she was just a cold, and when it finally came time for the cut -- mind you, after 45 minutes of leaving me under a very hot dryer while she took another client. A different stylist had to check on me and finally brought me some water -- she was frustrated that I could not offer her exact instructions on the layers and shape I wanted for my hair. I've been natural since 2020 and have received countless curly cuts... not once have I needed to walk someone through the process. When I expressed that I didn't know how to explain it, a few of her colleagues intervened to try to help and apologized for Kenn's delivery. VERY long story short.. I left in tears and will not be returning. Another reviewer said it best... this would have been a great salon to keep coming back to, but not with staff like that. The extra star is for the other stylists, who seem lovely. If you book for the first time, I'm sure Kenn will be available -- be warned, there is a reason why.
