Mark at L’Occitane was absolutely wonderful! He was super sweet, incredibly knowledgeable about skin types, and guided me to the right products for my needs. I truly appreciated how thoughtful and attentive he was throughout my visit. I’ll definitely be back to shop with him again.

I had a fantastic experience thanks to the retail sales associate who helped me today. She was friendly, patient (during holidays rush) and really knowledgeable, taking the time to understand what I needed and making great recommendations for myself and gift for friends. I never felt rushed, and her positive attitude made the whole visit enjoyable. Excellent customer service Mary Lou!!!

I visited the L'Occitane store on Tuesday, December 23 and unfortunately did not have a good shopping experience.
I was helped by the store associate named Mary Lou. Our interaction was brief because of her rushing me and others in and out of the store. At checkout, Mary Lou scanned my three items and asked if I would like to "just throw" them in my purse. Even at the grocery store, I have never been asked if I would like to throw my purchased items in my purse, let alone a "higher end" store like L'Occitane. I asked her if she had a small bag for me instead and she handed me a ridiculously large plain brown paper bag with a smirk on her face. I looked past her and saw small yellow bags on the shelf behind her.
After I left the store, I tried to put it past me and convince myself that a bag is just a bag but I couldn't. I returned to the store and she asked if anything was wrong. I questioned her reasoning behind her decision to give me that specific bag and mentioned that the woman leaving the store, as I was returning to the store had a smaller, more size appropriate, yellow L'Occitane bag. She then asked me if my purchase was a gift. Shouldn't she have asked me that at checkout instead of suggesting me to throw my purchased items inside my purse? Seriously, who does that? She then offered to prepare my purchase in the more size appropriate bag and present it nicer after I said my items were a gift. However, why should it matter who it's for? If I'm spending my money at your store, whether for myself or for someone else, I don't want to just throw it in my purse at checkout.
Mary Lou is a terrible representation of the L'Occitane brand. It's not simply about her giving me the brown paper bag for my items, and the other woman, a yellow L'Occitane one- it's the intent behind it. I have my reasonings behind her intent but that is something that she will have to answer for herself.

Unfortunately, I had one of the worst experiences at this location of L’Occitane. I walked in to do a simple return for a holiday gift, as the person I purchased it for did not want it. When I walked in, the lady at the counter did not greet me and was condescending during the entire interaction. Her name was Mary Lou, and she was entirely unprofessional. I understand asking about product satisfaction but making a customer feel guilty about doing a return is very unbecoming of the store’s customer service. I tried making small talk with Mary Lou, but I was instead greeted with silence and a demeaning glare. What was supposed to be a simple return was turned into one of the must uncomfortable interactions I’ve had with L’Occitane. I generally love their products, but this alone makes me not want to shop here any longer.
