  I visited the Stonebriar Sephora location on February 20, 2026, for what was supposed to be a simple and happy occasion — my sister’s birthday. I only asked for a basic color match. What I walked away with was something I never expected: a full face of makeup I did not request, and an ER diagnosis of contact dermatitis caused by contaminated cosmetics. What is deeply disturbing to me is what I witnessed during the application. The brushes Jose with Pat McGrath used did not visibly appear clean. He repeatedly dipped the same brushes back into makeup palettes and then used those exact brushes on my lips and face. There was no visible sanitation between applications. At one point, he pulled brushes from his apron and placed them directly on the counter — on top of other makeup products — before continuing to use them on me. The next morning, my face swelling was out of control. My skin felt like it was burning. The inflammation intensified to the point that I feared my throat was beginning to close. I ended up in the emergency room, where I was diagnosed with contact dermatitis from cosmetics exposure. I am still on steroids and Benadryl to control the swelling and calm the reaction. I haven’t been able to work since. What frightens me most is not just what happened to me — but the possibility that this could happen to someone else. The lack of sanitation I observed was alarming, and no customer should have to leave a beauty appointment in fear for their health. I have attempted multiple times to speak with someone about this experience and have not received a response. I am asking for a call back as soon as possible. This situation was not only physically painful but genuinely frightening.

  I have been to the Sephora numerous times near my house since moving from Colorado. Every time I went to that Sephora, I was treated with a very unwelcoming aura. Today, I decided to make a drive 50 minutes out of my way to have my visit with bri! It’s taken nearly a year to find comfort in going out into public again because how I get approached. I have children and generally people rush me out the door. Bri handled every concern with grace and professionalism. Also, my children. Was not an issue. Bri treated us as family and we will be making a fifty minute trip to feel welcomed again. This employee is very valuable to this location as how she presents herself calmly, professionally and kindly. It’s really rare to find special people like her. I don’t typically write long posts but, I have such horrible anxiety going out and feeling like im a problem. I now can feel safe going to buy things and having appropriate questions with solutions. I felt like family instead of just another transaction. I had lots of questions. She was extremely familiar with the products and I was open to trying new things. What was even better that she had the same skin type so it helped build more knowledge along the way in future purchases as well. Whoever hired this lovely young lady. They did such a marvelous job hiring her and I finally felt welcome again.

  Great experience inspite of heavy Black Friday weekend rush that staff was super helpful and got my girl the required makeup for her dance performance will surely recommend and visit again
