I had a silk press appointment with Alexiss and she did a wonderful job! From beginning to end of the appointment everything was perfect. I have a lot of hair and she took her time with washing my hair/conditioning it (which felt absolutely amazing) and detangling my hair was no problem either. She was very sweet as well. I highly recommend her services!

I recently visited the JCPenney Hair Salon in Frisco for a color appointment that was scheduled for 1:00 PM. Unfortunately, the appointment didn’t start until 2:00 PM and wasn’t completed until 8:30 PM, making the process excessively long. I also shared a reference photo of the hair color I wanted, but the final result was significantly different from what I had asked for. For the $435 I spent and the long wait, I am extremely disappointed with the outcome.

Walter did an excellent job on my 4 braid style with added hair. He even added some smaller rows between to get the look I wanted. The style lasted longer than I anticipated. I’ll definitely return for another protective style.

This pains me to do, but we must hold each other accountable.
I made an appointment online today with Walter for 6:15pm. I come in, greeted by Anaya (I believe is her name) to check in. I run to the restroom, and on my way see Walter chatting with another associate while they are servicing another client. When I come out of the restroom, he’s now working with the client while the other associate is chatting with him. I ask Anaya if I should sit in the wait — she says yes and goes to let Walter know that I’m there. She comes back to the desk, and asks me to come over to her from the sofa, I oblige. She then informs me that Walter can’t take me and asks if I could come back the next day at 3:45pm. I said that wouldn’t work and asked why I wasn’t able to be taken. She said “he just can’t take you. He didn’t know you were on his books.” I gave her more time to think and she followed up by saying “He’s with another client.” I asked why I was about to make an appointment in that case. She responded, “You made the appointment online? That would be why.” I asked if something was wrong with the online appointment system, she just repeated that he didn’t know he had an appointment. I then told her, “I work for corporate, so I’m trying to understand exactly what the disconnect is. (between online and actual appointment availability) She looks at me and says “I don’t know. Would you like to come in tomorrow.” I said no ma’am. I will speak to someone who can find out.
This experience is unfortunate for several reasons. Two employees were present —Walter and the other stylist — taking turns servicing the same client while chatting with each other. One of them could have serviced me if they wanted to and decided against it. I’ve always made my appointments online with no issue. If the stylist is servicing a client and the receptionist is manning the schedule, wouldn’t it be up to the receptionist to communicate schedule changes instead of turning a client away after they made it there? I could’ve saved myself a trip had I been informed earlier. I told her I’m from corporate in attempt to help bridge the communication gap only to realize, it’s more of an internal communication issue than a systematic issue on top of zero attempt to accommodate me same day.
Overall, very disappointing experience. If this is the way we treat our own, I can only imagine how we treat our guests and completely understand the underwhelming reviews in terms of customer service. This was a classic case of clocking out before closing and it cost us a customer. Unacceptable.
