I came in excited about a lipstick, only to have my immune system throw a tantrum on me. Instead of brushing it off or making me feel like an inconvenience, the team here responded with empathy, professionalism, and care. They didn’t treat me like a “problem to fix,” they treated me like a person. They checked in, followed up, and handled everything thoughtfully and inclusively. It reminded me what good customer care should feel like. I ended up keeping the lipstick, not because I “had” to, but because I genuinely appreciated how I was treated.
This particular store deserves recognition. Five stars, well earned.
After thinking about it more, I realized that wasn’t a one-off experience.
I use a wheelchair and sometimes I physically can’t reach the displays. When I came in on Thursday night (March 12), the person closing the store was incredibly patient and helpful. My lips have strong pigmentation and run cooler because of hypoxia, which makes finding the right lip colors tricky. She actually helped me identify a lip liner gap in my kit that I hadn’t even realized was missing. Of course I left with it. She also queued up four nude shades that actually worked with my natural lip tone, and I’m going back for most of them.
What stood out wasn’t just the help. It was the way she treated me. No condescension, no awkwardness, just thoughtful and respectful assistance.
This is the second genuinely great experience I’ve had at this location around my disability, and that deserves recognition.
Five stars, well earned
