  Have been coming here for the past couple of years on and off. My wife and daughters come here regularly. I don’t get a buzz cut I prefer it a little longer on the sides. Every time I go in it’s as if the ladies refuse to cut a guys or my hair - no big deal doesn’t bather me. I prefer the same gentlemen to cut my hair because he does it the way I like. Last month I went in and got a guy I’ve never seen before - again no big deal I thought - I was wrong. I told him what I wanted/ preferred don’t think he cared. I walked out of there with a mullet style haircut. To me it’s just hair and will grow back but I was unhappy all month. He never asked about length style or anything. He just did whatever he wanted. This month I make an appointment with the guy I like. I get no call to confirm- fine I go anyway because walked in to make the appointment. Figured it was a go. He wasn’t there and I never received a phone call confirming or canceling. The manager placed the blame on the stylist which I’m not okay with. You’re the manager. Manage your salon and the client.

  For your awareness: I have been going to JC Penney Salon on Trenton for almost a year. I get the exact same service each time…touch up color, glaze every other month and sometimes blow dry. My hair has been styled by at least four different stylists. To my surprise, last week I was charged an additional $60 for blow drying my hair. My point here: ask for the cost before hand because the manager stated the stylist charge whatever they deemed feasible because they’re at different levels of efficiency. I Am disappointed that JC Penney chose to take advantage of my loyalty and lose a customer over $60! Heads up on the cost of the services you receive as each stylist can do whatever and charge whatever pending their “status” or category 1, 2, or 3 level of stylist.
