I want to begin by acknowledging that the staff was courteous and professional throughout my interaction.Unfortunately, despite their kindness, this was the most disappointing experience I have ever had at a spa. This visit was meant to be significant. My girlfriend gifted me a massage as a gesture of care and celebration after I completed the bar exam, a demanding and meaningful milestone. I made a 40 minute drive and arrived six minutes early, expecting a smooth and calming experience. Instead, I encountered a logistical issue that, while unforeseeable to me as a first-time customer, should have been entirely foreseeable to your business. The parking situation was severely limited, shared among multiple businesses and a church, and offered no valet or guidance. As someone unfamiliar with the location, I had no reasonable way to anticipate the delay this would cause. After finally finding parking and completing the check in and preparation process, I was informed that my service time would be cut in half. What followed was even more troubling. I was charged a $50 rescheduling fee, effectively penalized for a delay caused by conditions outside of my knowledge and control, but well within yours. A business that operates daily in this environment is undoubtedly aware of the parking constraints and the impact they have on customer arrival times. That knowledge carries a responsibility to either mitigate the issue or clearly disclose it. The principle at stake is simple. A customer should not bear the cost of a problem they could not reasonably foresee, especially when that problem is inherent to the business location and known to the business itself. To impose a financial penalty under these circumstances is not only inequitable, it undermines the trust that customers place in your services. This experience was meant to provide relief after an intense period of work. Instead, it created additional stress and frustration. The $50 I was required to pay represents not just a fee, but the absence of any meaningful service or accommodation in return. I left without the experience that was promised and with a sense that my time and effort were disregarded. I understand that policies exist for operational reasons. However, policies that do not account for known and recurring obstacles risk appearing rigid rather than reasonable. Transparency and fairness are not optional in service industries. They are essential. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and reconsider how situations like this are handled in the future. Clear communication and reasonable flexibility would go a long way toward ensuring that other customers do not have a similar experience.
