  I had a very disappointing experience at this Rowan store when I went in for an ear piercing. I booked an appointment in advance and arrived 15 minutes early, as recommended. Despite that, I still had to wait around 25–30 minutes. I understand that places can be short-staffed, and I was patient, but it would have been helpful to at least be informed about the delay. When I tried to share this feedback with one of the nurses after my appointment, another staff member approached in a very aggressive manner. Instead of addressing me directly, she questioned the nurse what the “problem” was. I had to step in and clarify that I wasn’t complaining, just offering feedback about the appointment system and lack of communication. Her response to that was “So what do you want now?” to me which came across as dismissive and rude, which made the situation uncomfortable. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning. The actual piercing experience did not meet expectations either. I explained clearly that I wanted a single upper lobe piercing and discussed my ear shape (which curves slightly) with the nurse. There was a lot of back and forth about placement and earrings. Right before clicking the device, the nurse hesitated and called over a senior staff member to confirm placement. This happened when the device was already positioned, which was honestly very alarming. It made me question her training, especially since this involves my body. Even after getting confirmation, the process didn’t go smoothly the wrong earring was used despite prior confirmation. We had to redo the process, which added to the discomfort. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and poorly managed not to mention the amount they charge which in my opinion is high for the service I received. From long wait times and lack of communication to staff behavior and mistakes during the piercing itself, everything added up to a very negative visit. I chose Rowan because of its reputation and expected a safe, professional experience. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet those expectations. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both customer service and staff training, as this is not something customers should have to worry about when getting a piercing.

  I originally went to Studs and was told I didn’t have the anatomy for a forward helix. I decided to get a second opinion at Rowan, and I’m so glad I did! Lavette is AMAZING!! She took the time to really assess my ear. I’m absolutely obsessed with how it turned out. Highly recommend her if you’re considering a piercing!

  Lovettte was so amazing!!! She pierced my 8 yr old and she didn’t cry at all because L was amazing! I def am coming back for myself!

  Christine was awesome! My 5 year old was ready to get her ears peirced and the team at Rowan made it a great experience. Will come back when my 3 year old turns 5!

  Definitely recommend this place! Everyone is so nice and answered all of our questions! Christine was the nurse that pierced my daughter’s ears and was very delicate and did the job quickly and beautifully! I would definitely come back here!
