My Mother in law was experiencing thinning hair after having back surgery. She was very self-conscious about it so I stopped into Margie’s afternoon and Margie herself greeted me and helped me make a wig choice for my mother mother-in-law. Margie took the time to look at pictures of my mother-in-law from before her hair was thin and the hairstyle she liked the best and found the perfect wig. I took it out to my mother-in-law today for Mother’s Day and she was thrilled. Tears came to her eyes and she said she never felt more beautiful. Highly highly recommend Margie‘s wig salon.

I wish there was a rating of minus stars. I'm glad others were pleased, I wasn't. From the start it went sideways for me. There was not any private area to try on the wigs. You were in the open salon. I had 3 pics on my phone to show what I had in mind. The sales lady couldn't or wouldn't take the time to look. It was a hard sell technique and also a sale price that was only good that day. She thinned out some of the hair to maybe make it look better, IT DIDN'TWORK.
As a result it's not returnable.
I was overwhelmed to the point of tears.I wanted to leave, but was pushed. I truly wished I had. I also wished I had followed my gut feeling.......
As many people know going bald from medical reasons is traumatic in itself. I actually purchased the wig in order to
get out of there to try and regroup myself. It was the worst demoralizing experience I've ever had. Pricey lesson learned.
Update from earlier post:
Margie called to apologize and she said she felt bad about my experience. She said that there private rooms in the back. I wasn't told about that even though it was on her website.
She said I should have asked. I feel like I should have been offered that option. That being said, she said she would like to make it right, but refused my request for a refund......
As a result I'm stuck with an overpriced wig that was never worn and never will be.....
In my opinion a refund should have been forthcoming. So beware !!!!!!!👎👎👎👎👎

Very sweet owner, personally helped me find what I needed. The whole time I didn’t feel any pressure from her to buy the products I was trying on and she encouraged me to take some time to think about buying something. Really helpful and kind.

My husband and I had searched a full day of our Texas vacation last month, to find a pretty pixie wig for my 87 year old mom, as wig shops are hard to find back on Vancouver Island where she lives. A friend told us to check out Margie's Wig Salon, but by that time, we only had an hour to spare after the shop opened, before needing to be at DFW. Margie graciously accommodated us without an appointment. She studied the photo I'd brought of my mother and set to work quickly displaying several options. Choosing hair for someone else is not easy! I wanted something platinum gray and not too full that might overwhelm her small face and frame. Margie whipped out several more options. In the space of 20 minutes she had found the winner. She trimmed the nape of the neck on the spot, charged a very reasonable price for the wig and her personal service, offered to ship to Canada if we wanted to purchase again, and sent us on our way. My Mom was absolutely delighted and surprised with the gift. Her new wig fits PERFECTLY and she has been the happy recipient of many comments and compliments on her classy new hairstyle. She feels and looks beautiful again! Thank you, Margie, for your knowledgeable, friendly and fast help getting us what we'd been searching for, and making my Mom such a happy customer.
