Such a cool place and everyone was having a good time. Bri is super chill and did a great job with my tattoos. She clearly explained after care and was totally cool with a minor last min adjustment to the design. I will definitely be coming back!

A month ago, I got my second set of tattoos from here. And while I do overall love what I got…. My experience here left a LOT to be desired….
To start, the shop itself is cute. Has a nice vintage aesthetic. But I didn’t feel the most welcome/ invited within the space overall.
To be clear, everyone I interacted with was polite. No one was outwardly rude to me.
I understand that some people are gonna be reserved when you first meet them and that not everyone can so easily converse with strangers right off the bat.
But as someone who was trying to break the ice and gain a sense of familiarity with the people within this shop…. It feels awkward on my end when I try to make friendly conversation and no one really reciprocates it.
Sure…. I don’t expect everyone to go out of their way to talk to me…. Especially when they have a job to do. But the genuine friendliness of everyone at the first shop I went to helped to make the memory of getting my first tattoo such a positive experience
If my interactions with this shop stopped there, I wouldn’t be writing this review.
What is prompting me to write this review stems from how I was treated afterwards by the artist that did my tattoos, Car.
Now to be clear, Car is very talented as an artist. I wouldn’t have chosen her to do my tattoos if she wasn’t. But I think in terms of responsiveness and customer service: I feel this is something she could improve on.
I reached out to her close to the one month mark after getting the tattoos from her.
I got two fairy themed tattoos from her: one of them is of a fairy from a JRPG I like. She did that one on my right leg. She let me sit with the stencil for a little bit, I thought it looked good… so she went ahead and tattooed it on me.
Overall, I really do love the details she did for this fairy…. Especially that of the more visible eye for the fairy.
The position of the fairy for my tattoo is that of a side profile, so one side of her face is going to be more visible than the other. The other side of the fairy’s face has an outline for where her eye should be as a result.
It’s a very small detail… something I did not notice while I was letting the stencil sit on me. And I think it’s something that only I really notice… as everyone else I've shown my tattoo to hasn't noticed it
I’m allowing myself to sit with the design for a bit and get used to it before I have anything done to modify it.
Still though…. I reached out to Car to ask if a possible touch up was something she could do and… *nothing*. I reached out to her on Instagram, and I know she saw the message.
I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt… that is why I am writing this review now and not any earlier.
Meanwhile, I reached back out to my first tattoo artist back in California, asking him what I asked Car: if my leg fairy could be touched up to hide the outline of her other eye without ruining the precise details of her face. He got back to me right away and told me it was possible
So if I do decide to get my leg fairy tattoo touched up…. I will go to him: as he is great with precise fine, line work.
I know Car had made a story on her Instagram telling people to reach out to her again through email as her Instagram DMs were all messy.
I figured there was no point in trying to reach out to her again… as I had decided that I would have my first artist touch up my leg fairy. Still though…. I had hoped she would have gotten back to me…. As it would be been the right thing to do.
But she hasn’t. Which is extremely disappointing and disheartening. But yet… she quickly got back to me when I made appointments with her and changed the time of our session...
I don’t appreciate feeling like the only time I matter to my tattoo artist is when I’m initially making a booking and paying them. I don’t appreciate feeling like now I don’t matter as a client because I already gave her my money.
As a result, I will not be coming back here.
