- WDWayne DixonFeb 11, 20261.0I don’t typically do negative reviews, but I’ve never been physically assaulted during a haircut before either! As it was happening I was trying to understand what was going on, was I being punked, or was I imagining this? I left there in a daze completely bewildered at what had just transpired. I had red marks on the side of my face and in various spots where fingers and clippers had been dug in and slammed into the my scalp multiple times! My ears were raked over by the comb constantly. My hair was yanked and pulled with what can only be described as the dullest scissors in all of Texas. My head was forcibly held and moved to different position without any communication. There was never any acknowledgement or apology of the pain and discomfort that was being inflicted on me! This was the most aggressive and violent hair cut I have ever had to endure in my entire life of 50+ years on this planet, and I have no idea what I did to deserve that kind of treatment. Never again Great Clips never again!

When I contacted the store, they asked for more details, which I did and then wanted me to call them. After numerous emails, texts and telling me that I didn’t understand the self check in process, I didn’t want to waste anymore time on this. I will never go to this location again.

Walked into the Bulverde Retail Park Great Clips and was immediately greeted and advised to take a seat. No wait. This Great Clips location was clean and staff were very friendly. Loretta, the hairstylist took the time to cut my hair and did an amazing job!

If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
