Alexis, the lady at the salon, checked in a walk-in and immediately took him in even though I had checked in earlier and was waiting right in front of her. She even had the audacity to grin and laugh after doing this.

I love my haircut, the care she put into it, the recommendations she gave me, and the intensely wonderful shampoo! They were BUSY and navigating some issues with the on-line check in system (showed not available for that location for me and one other customer - apparently worked fine via the app, but not the website). The 3 stylists there were managing it very efficiently and the wait was shorter than estimated.

The stylists are very pleasant people who take great care of their customers. If you check in online and happen to fall tenth in line, arrive and sit down, and then if the nine people checked in online ahead of you get there while you're seated, you'll have to wait for all nine to be serviced before you can get your haircut. Why make me wait hours if I'm already there ready to go? The nine before me weren't waiting here, they just checked in online before me. Again, flawed and needs to be changed to, if I'm here and checked in online and those checked in before me aren't here, then I should be serviced. I've witnessed too many people walk out because of this. Please address. **Update: Ok, this one is even worse... I'm here with my son. He was able to get in with Dee because the four checked in before him weren't here. I'm also checked in next to my son. Unfortunately the four individuals checked in before us arrived while me son was getting his haircut. I had to wait for them to finish before I could go up. So, again, my son got his haircut but then I had to wait an additional 30 mins after he got his to get mine. You would think that a pair of customers would be able to have their hair cut back to back right? Wrong! Flawed system, please change!

Online Check-In becomes available five minutes after the salon opens. We accept Online Check-Ins up to the point where the estimated wait time is as long as the salon will remain open, or 30 minutes before closing time at the latest.
Can I use Online Check-In for all types of services?
Online Check-In can be used for all services except perms and formal updos. Please note that not all salons offer perms. Most salons require an appointment for these services, so please call your local Great Clips salon to inquire.
Can I request a stylist using Online Check-In?
No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
