Verna greets us with “are you trying to cut weave or your real hair” as she looks at me with extensions in my hair. My mom responds with her real hair and explains it’s not much to cut off due to chemotherapy. My mom asks “ when is the best time to come with the least amount of people?” Ms. Verna laughs and said “it’s always people in here”. Her demeanor and attitude was very uncomfortable and dismissive as new customers and I would not recommend. I told her we’d be back and took my mother to the car before I went back in and shared with two other ladies that her customer service was very unprofessional and that I will be sharing our experience.

She repeatedly commented that she “needed to go back to school,” which came across as unprofessional and uncomfortable rather than constructive. In contrast, Laura—who was cutting my hair at the same time—was kind, welcoming, and professional throughout the entire visit. Her demeanor made a noticeable difference and is the reason I am singling her out positively. I have worked in high-end customer service for nearly 15 years, and I understand that everyone has off days. However, customers should still be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, the interaction with Verna overshadowed the experience enough that I will not be returning to this location. I hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity for improvement, as the quality of service can vary greatly depending on who you interact with.
