I was skeptical, but with the holiday weekend and my regular stylist not being available, I figured, why not give GC a try? It's hair, it will grow back, worst case. Thankfully, I didn't need to worry. I arrived with my hair detangled and dry. My hope was to get a shampoo, but there wasn't enough time for that with Yavonnda, and because of the other reviews I read about her, I only wanted her to trim my hair. However, I believe anyone would have done a good job. The technique used was different than my normal stylist, but my hair was even and my ends were drastically improved, and no longer catching in the comb due to split ends. Long story short, I will definitely go back. My only gripe is I wish I were placed in another station, as I felt like I was on display due to the fact that there was obvious curiosity about my hair texture, per the non-stop stares fixed on me from others waiting for their appointment. From the moment I sat in the chair to the moment I checked out, people were eagle-eyeing me, and it just rubbed me the wrong way. But that's not a reflection on the quality of my trim. Aside from that, it was a good experience for a retail haircut, and I recommend.
