  I have been on the hunt for a new massage spot and had heard good things about NOW. The ambience was lovely and the staff was kind. I booked the deep tissue add-on, because I have muscle tightness and like firmer pressure. This was confirmed by the receptionist and also by the massage therapist. However, the experience I had was underwhelming - it simply just felt like someone was putting lotion on my body for 50 min and that's all. I did ask a couple times for firmer pressure but nothing changed. For the price I paid, I was pretty disappointed in my experience, which is unfortunate because I had high hopes.

  Now Massage Review- felt hoodwinked Melissa was a great masseuse! I enjoyed my massage and contemplated a membership UNTIL I went to check out. The pricing I was MUCH higher than I was quoted when I came in person to book my appointment with a gift card. It turns out that the desk staff person mistakenly told me the “member pricing.” Being new to NOW I assumed I was offered member pricing because the person who gave me the gift card was a member. Since I had upgraded to a longer massage and added deep tissue, I was stunned when I was told how much I owed! I explained my confusion. I was told it by the woman at front desk “ this wasn’t their fault” and “they are not going to eat it.” She said she could get the manager but the manager would concur. She spoke to the manager who initially did not come out. She simply said to me the charges would stand. Then I told her that I had considered membership during my fabulous massage but no longer. She asked why didn’t I start with that? That they could activate it now and decrease the cost to member pricing. I told her there wasn’t a chance! The manager did finally step out to speak to me. He simply said the employee may have quoted me the member price difference. The employee I spoke with about pricing was at the front desk at booking and checkout. She did not admit her role in this confusion. I am sure it is a busy place and it is easy to make mistakes. These pricing structures can be VERY deceptive and confusing to new customers and apparently to staff as well. I had hoped that by booking in person I could have clarity on my out of pocket costs. Apparently not. I won’t be returning to NOW. It is a shame. I live about a mile away, I could have been a loyal customer. Now I am a loud opponent.
