Just went in here for the first time, needing some hair care for myself. I've never been in this store before and not aware that if you're not a licensed cosmetologist, they don't sell to you.
When I went in there I was not asked if I needed any assistance in finding something (not the complete end of the world) but I could have been informed of the purchase requirements then, so I took about 15 minutes to find the products I was looking for and took it up to the register.
When I was greeted at the register, it wasn't a very welcoming feeling but it's early morning, so I don't think too much of it. I was asked if I had my card, confusion was on my face because I was trying to hand over my credit card. The lady then said, "no your license card.. this is a whole sale store, are you a licensed hair dresser?" I replied I was not and then I was told, "you can't shop here."
No apologies, no giggling it off, just given a no and get out, basically.
This isn't the worst I've been treated by a store, but there can definitely be some improvement to your customer service. Maybe a friendly greeting, assistance, apologetic to the ones that aren't aware of your store standards, and to be honest, a little less of a "nose in the air" attitude.
I was suggested a product by my hair stylist, thought I'd give this store a go because they had it, and I was treated poorly. I will make sure that friends and family that work with hair are aware of the treatment they may expect if they decide to do business with you. Maybe touch base with the staff at this location and have them work on how they treat others.
