- EEEspresso EnjoyerMar 27, 20262.0I went into day with a few reference photos, the first thing that happened was that no one seemed to want to be the one to cut my hair. Eventually a woman said she would take me and I showed her my photos. She kind of dismissed the photos I had shown her and asked what I wanted, I tried to articulate what I wanted but I wasnt sure how to word it because I came in with photos for reference not a description. The one thing i made sure to specify is that i wanted to keep the length. She very obviously didn't really seem to want to talk with me while doing that cut which is alright but she ended up making decisions with my hair before asking me. She Keating me she was going shorter and I couldn't really object because she had already started cutting. She said she had made the bangs 'more girgly' without asking me and I'm a trans male so that didn't really sit with me but she was the stylist and I had thought she probably knew what she was doing. She kept cutting more and more and it felt like she wasn't really paying attention. I left unhappy but still left a heafty tip because I just wanted to get out of the situation. I know that people will say that I should have said something if I didn't like the cut but she had already cut the hair, its not like it would have grown back if I told her I was unhappy. I ended up having to go to a different salon to fix it up and the stylist showed me how uneven and messy the original cut was. I had spent so long growing my hair out but now I have a very short mullet. I really don't want to say anything rude about her because I'm sure she was just trying to be quick and efficient but I've never felt this bad about a haircut before. Maybe just for the future have a little more communication with the client and ask before you cut. I still gave two stars because the product she sold me with still be useful with styling the new cut but I wish I had gotten the cut I had wanted.

Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
