However, after a short wait I was pleased to meet Emerald and she did exactly what my hair needed with my overgrown dead ends! She’s patient, professional, and always does an amazing job cutting my son’s hair. He feels comfortable with her, and she’s the main reason we come back to this location. She truly deserves five stars for her skill and kindness. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the staff member who seems to act “in charge.” On more than one occasion, we’ve experienced rude or dismissive behavior that makes visiting here frustrating. Once, we checked in online with a 90-minute wait, came back after an hour (still with about 30 minutes left), and were told our names had been taken off the list because it was “too long.” We ended up leaving without a haircut. This most recent visit was even more disappointing. There was no wait time and no other customers, yet we were told we couldn’t request Emerald—even though she was available and my son only feels comfortable with her. The excuse given was, "we could NOT request to wait for a specific stylist because it was Sunday.". This is despite there be no one else waiting and 0 wait time on the check in list. When we explained that we’d either have Emerald cut his hair or we’d leave, we were met with attitude instead of understanding. I really hope management takes a look at this, because Emerald deserves recognition for her excellent work, but the customer service from the person in charge really brings down the experience.
