This was probably one of the weirdest massages my husband and I have personally had. Finding the correct number to call was a little hard because there are like 3 different numbers to call and I honestly don't remember which one worked.
The building kind of looked like a hotel to us, but the spa is on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about. Easy access... we check in and the pricing was confusing. We were quoted $158 for a couples massage. When we get there, she asked if we wanted to upgrade to a 60min deep tissue for $10 extra (each) which would be a total of $178 cash, $188 card. I asked if my husband could do the upgrade and I keep it normal. She said yes...so, I'd imagine it'd be $10 extra and a card fee...well, I'm not sure how much the card fee is because she charged me $176.
Doing the math, it doesn't make sense. $158 couples massage + $10 upgrade of deep tissue =$168 cash.
She charged us $176, so the fee charge would be assumed as $8, right? But if we both got the upgrade for $178 cash, $188 card, that would be a $10 fee charge. So , is the fee charge just made up on how much they want to charge? That was confusing.
BTW, they did NOT give my husband the 60min upgrade we paid for. He got 50min just like me but he did get deep tissue.
I was also confused as to why I received the hot stone massage if that was for the deep tissue upgrade. We were to believe my husband was the only one getting it, but we both did. So, again , we were just confused with communication I guess.
The massage itself went pretty well I guess. A different style for sure, just new to us. We never had a massage where we were stretched and our legs/ feet were punched š it was actually funny. (The punching did not hurt, btw !! Professional punches )
The weirdest part overall was probably the end where we were kind of declined our tip amount and asked for more. We had tipped $20. ($10 each). As a young couple on our 1st wedding anniversary, we were just trying things out and maybe we don't really understand the massage tip system ,but she took the twenty we gave and asked if we wanted to tip more. She worded it confusingly, so we clarified the tip was for $10 each and she said $15 each okay? We looked confused so she repeated herself and we said "..sure? Do you have change?" And so she gave us change and we walked out so confused about the experience.
Not sure how anyone else's massage went but this was definitely a story we will hold onto for life. Lol

I visited this place once, and as soon as I walked in, everything felt so welcoming, and it smelled amazing! Amy did an amazing job and she was so nice. I look forward to getting her again.

Excellent massage! Coco was outstanding! Great mix of relaxing techniques and therapeutic techniques. After a week managing stressful family difficulty, we decided on a spontaneous weekend vacation, and this was just right. Really covered it all, and was so good I will have to come back. Highly recommend!

My husband and I got a coupleās massage. It was supposed to be a 60 minute full body massage. It turned out being a very expensive oily shoulder massage. For me, most of the time the lady just had 1 hand where the neck meets the shoulder. I ended up getting a kink in my neck that gave me a headache. She spent a little time on my back then my calves for a hot second. When I flipped over, she pulled my fingers to crack my fingers and wrist. Then she āmassagedā my sternum and stomach that felt large a large cat kneading on me. Did not touch legs or arms. When we were leaving, we were hassled for a 20% tip. Both my husband and I agreed we probably could have just bought massage oil and done a better job ourselves. It was the first massage weāve gotten where we did not leave feeling any better than when we walked it. Severely disappointing.

This was a very interesting experience. It wasnāt great, it wasnāt offensive. It was odd.
I booked a 90 minute massage online. The cost online said $138. They do not take credit card information online. When I got there, I noticed a sign that advertise the same massage for $128. I asked if I could get the discounted price and she said no.
I was then asked to pay in advance (not the norm in my experience) the $138. She entered the price into her handheld credit card machine and moved it toward me so I could tap my phone. When the receipt printed out for me to pay it was for $146. I asked why it was more and she said tax. At the end of the massage, I looked up sales tax regulations in both South Carolina and Hilton Head and from what I read professional services are exempt from sales tax. I have no idea why she charged me eight dollars more. Iāve never been charged sales tax for Massage.
When the massage was done, I told her I had no cash for a tip and she said that I could use a credit card. She asked me how much I wanted to leave and I said $28.
She said thank you and proceeded to enter the number into her handheld credit card machine - just as before I tapped without seeing the actual dollar amount and when the receipt printed out it was for $31. I was not in the mood to argue over $3 or $11 so I left. The deceptive pricing/miscellaneous charges are reason enough for me not to return.
As with the most Asian massages, it is a bit different than the massages of individuals who have been trained and have most of their experience in a US format. There is no discussion beforehand about problem areas. There is a formula that is followed without consultation or customization. Some of the massage is done directly on the skin and some of it is done through a sheet. She massaged my chest, stomach, and buttocks, which I would say has happened in maybe 2% of the 200+ massages Iāve received. The only question she asked the entire time was if the pressure was ok.
Anyway - I wonāt go back. The 90 minute massage ended up costing me $177.
I realize that things are more expensive in Hilton Head than where I live in St. Petersburg Florida. Regardless, based on the skill of massage I received (no customization, minimal effectiveness and no special attention paid to problem areas) I would expect to pay no more than $110 including tip. At home, my extremely skilled massage therapist charges a total of $165 for 90 minutes, including tip.
My suggestion if you are ready to try this place would be to call them and nail down the pricing in advance, ask if they have specials and make sure the quote includes everything and there are no hidden charges or fees to use a credit card
