- LALuca AngeloDec 17, 20251.0After years of shopping at Sephora, I had to make my first return because a team member talked me into, and pressured me to buy, a makeup shade I would normally never choose. When I got home and tried to use it, I immediately realized it did not match my skin tone at all. It was completely the wrong shade. I’m a VIB member and assumed I could simply return it the next time I went to the mall. I had no idea there was a 30-day return window, and they wouldn’t even offer store credit — even though one of their team members is the reason I’m in this situation. I live 35 minutes away from the mall, so it’s not easy for me to go there frequently. I truly feel the team could have done more to help and make this right. I will never go back to this Sephora — not only because the team was unhelpful, but also because the store is too small, always packed, and the employees don’t seem to know what they’re talking about. They pressure you and make you feel like they know more than you do. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Sephora.

Must be a culture tolerated by their manager. If you aren’t a supermodel or an influencer I guess they aren’t interested in your money.

They offer free color matching for foundation so I asked about the service. Sherry helped me out and was incredibly kind from the moment I walked in. She asked me thorough questions, and even gave me advice on helping with my skincare that I wouldn't have known otherwise. She demonstrated the perfect match right away, and gave me a sample to take home. The entire experience was very down to earth, and we even got to talk about some other things which lead me to another place for my hair since I needed to get that cut. (The place is Wavelengths and they were also super awesome!) Thank you again Sherry! Definitely coming back more later!
