- AJAlexandra & JeremyMar 21, 20264.0This is the second location of the Woodhouse Day Spa in Charleston that we have visited. It does some things better, and other things not as well. Let's start with what works... The location is beautiful. One look at Wentworth Mansion and you are swept up by its beauty and majesty. We highly recommend going in the front door to get a glimpse of the hotel before proceeding to the carriage house where the spa is located. The spa is quite small - 3 massage rooms and a small but comfortable relaxation room. Because it's so small, they don't encourage you to stay too long, and the drinks and snacks do speak to that. But, it's very pretty and quiet. The deep tissue massage was very good and the masseuse did pay special attention to problem areas we discussed beforehand. It was a good amount of pressure and the atmosphere and music were soothing. This location had a few more nice touches like nice lotion and mouthwash in the bathroom. What didn't work was the limited relaxation space, the snacks (little packages of granola bites and nothing more) and the once again awful excuse for a mimosa. Tea selection is still good. Honestly, the locations in Charleston need to get it together. For the amount of money they are charging, they need to do better on these things. For example, at the Maryland location we went to, the mimosas were fresh squeezed orange juice and prosecco, the snacks included savory, sweet and a basket of fruit. There was flavored water and iced tea. They even had a small menu where you could stay and order a snack or sandwich. And the relaxation room was large and they encouraged you to stay. One of the very best parts though was indulging in exploring the hotel a bit after. The Wentworth Mansion itself really knows how to provide a luxury experience, and it's just beautiful. That part alone made it worth the extra $25 per service at the spa in this location.

I was looking forward to this new location and had high expectations due to the services being priced higher. However, I was disappointed. This establishment is very small. There is a lounge that all attendees walk through to go to/from their services, it is not secluded like at the other locations. There is only one bathroom, one shower/locker room, and we could hear traffic during our massages. I will not be returning to this location and recommend avoiding and opting in to one of the other ones nearby.

- KMKendra MooreNov 23, 20255.0This was my birthday gift! My fiance and I went and enjoyed a couples massage together. From the moment we checked in everything was great. We were shown to the room to change into our robes and shown the seating area where we could relax and enjoy a glass of mimosa along with some truffles, which by the way was amazing. Once it was time for our appointment Amy and Heather came to retrieve us! They were very nice, Amy asked me if I had any points of concern, she also did an amazing job explaining the massage table and the way it worked! Started the session off with an oil that smelled like lavender. Omg it was very relaxing! All I know is I went in and my body felt tensed and sore in certain areas and when I left I really felt like my body was sitting up on a cloud! My fiance asked if we could take Heather's hands with us (lol) he was in a car accident and has a lot of lower back pains. To hear the light snores coming from him was a good thing! He was s very relaxed! I would give the entire session from start to finish a 10 out 10 🌟 for sure! I didnt even talk about the room. The lights were turned down and there was something like white noise playing. The entire atmosphere of the room was 10 of 10 🌟. I loved every minute of it. Its a must go if you have not been. We'll worth the 2 hour drive. We will be back!

Spa Reservations
To ensure your preferred appointment time, it is recommended you schedule your spa experience with as much advance notice as possible or at the conclusion of your last experience. Our professional staff allocates time especially for each guest, therefore, a credit card is requested to guarantee these reservations. All spa experiences are subject to availability. Menu service and prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
Spa Arrivals
To begin your spa journey in a relaxed state, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. For a new guest, please allow 30 minutes to accommodate completion of your guest profile. Spa robes, slippers, private lockers and beverages are provided for your comfort. Delayed arrival will limit the time for your experience, reducing the effectiveness of your treatment and the expectations of your visit. In consideration of other spa guests, service time will not be extended for delayed arrivals, and the full price of your service will be charged. Please notify our staff if there are any special physical or medical needs or conditions they need to consider prior to your services (i.e. pregnancy, food or product sensitivities or aggressive medications). We recommend that valuable items be left at home. The Woodhouse is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Spa Cancellations or Rescheduling
As a courtesy, you will receive a confirmation of your reservation prior to your arrival. Should the need arise to cancel or reschedule reservations, a 24-hour advance notice is required. A 48-hour advance notice is required for any spa packages and multiple treatments lasting more than 2 hours. Insufficient notice to cancel or reschedule reservations are subject to charges up to full service value. All no show reservations will be assessed a charge at full value of services. Spa Parties are subject to terms of agreement for cancellations.
Spa Requirements
We accept guests of all ages, however, some services may require parental release before the services can be rendered. So that all guests may experience a pleasant and peaceful environment, we ask that only those receiving services accompany you to the spa.
Spa Payments, Gratuity, and Gift Cards
Payments are accepted in the form of Cash, most Major Credit Cards and The Woodhouse Day Spa Gift Cards. The Woodhouse Day Spa® gift card contains value which may be used to purchase products and services at face value. This card cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. The card must be presented at time of purchase and the available balance will be applied to the transaction. Prices vary by spa and are subject to change without notice. Spa locations are individually owned franchises solely responsible for any and all gift card liabilities at their respective locations. Redemption of this card is subject to certain restrictions and expirations set by each spa location or state regulation. Should this card be redeemed at another location, the card will be redeemed at face value. This card is non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash. Any unused balance will remain on the card. This card is not transferable and The Woodhouse Day Spa® is not responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged or unauthorized use of the card. No express or implied warranties apply. Series of services are not refundable, but can be converted to spa credit.
There will be a $50.00 fee each time a check is returned as well as any incurred charges for collection of payment owed.
Gratuities are not included in the value of the services and are at the discretion of the guest.
Spa Products and Returns
In keeping with The Woodhouse Vision, purity and quality are essential elements in our skin and body care products. In the event you are not satisfied with a skin or body care product, you will be given spa credit if the product is returned within 30 days of purchase. For other retail items, a refund will be issued as spa credit or back in the form of which payment was received within 30 days of purchase.
Spa Requirements/Age Restrictions
So that all guests may experience a pleasant and peaceful environment, we ask that only those receiving services accompany you to the spa. Most Woodhouse Spa services are reserved for adults to preserve a relaxing spa environment.
All services: Guests must be 18 years or older, unless noted below.
Facials: Guests 16+ may receive a facial with a parent or legal guardian present in the spa for the entire service (in another service or the relaxation room). The parent/guardian must check in with the minor and remain on property.
Alcohol is available to guests 21+ only. Valid ID may be required at any time.
Woodhouse Spa reserves the right to limit or decline services for underage guests.
