Spa Reservations

To ensure your preferred appointment time, it is recommended you schedule your spa experience with as much advance notice as possible or at the conclusion of your last experience. Our professional staff allocates time especially for each guest, therefore, a credit card is requested to guarantee these reservations. All spa experiences are subject to availability. Menu service and prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Credit cards are required to reserve all appointments, including those using gift cards. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

Spa Arrivals

To begin your spa journey in a relaxed state, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. For a new guest, please allow 30 minutes to accommodate completion of your guest profile. Spa robes, slippers, private lockers and beverages are provided for your comfort. Delayed arrival will limit the time for your experience, reducing the effectiveness of your treatment and the expectations of your visit. In consideration of other spa guests, service time will not be extended for delayed arrivals, and the full price of your service will be charged. Please notify our staff if there are any special physical or medical needs or conditions they need to consider prior to your services (i.e. pregnancy, food or product sensitivities or aggressive medications). We recommend that valuable items be left at home. Woodhouse is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Question 3

Spa Cancellations or Rescheduling

As a courtesy, you will receive a confirmation of your reservation prior to your arrival. Should the need arise to cancel or reschedule reservations, a 24-hour advance notice is required. A 48-hour advance notice is required for any spa packages and multiple treatments lasting more than 2 hours. Insufficient notice to cancel or reschedule reservations are subject to charges up to full service value. All no show reservations will be assessed a charge at full value of services. Spa Parties are subject to terms of agreement for cancellations.

Spa Requirements/Age Restrictions

So that all guests may experience a pleasant and peaceful environment, we ask that only those receiving services accompany you to the spa. Most Woodhouse Spa services are reserved for adults to preserve a relaxing spa environment.

All services: Guests must be 18 years or older, unless noted below.

Facials: Guests 16+ may receive a facial with a parent or legal guardian present in the spa for the entire service (in another service or the relaxation room). The parent/guardian must check in with the minor and remain on property.

Alcohol is available to guests 21+ only. Valid ID may be required at any time.

Woodhouse Spa reserves the right to limit or decline services for underage guests.

Question 5

Spa Payments, Gratuity, and Gift Cards

Payments are accepted in the form of Cash, most Major Credit Cards and Woodhouse  Spa Gift Cards.Woodhouse gift card contains value which may be used to purchase products and services at face value. This card cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. The card must be presented at time of purchase and the available balance will be applied to the transaction. Prices vary by spa and are subject to change without notice. Spa locations are individually owned franchises solely responsible for any and all gift card liabilities at their respective locations. Redemption of this card is subject to certain restrictions and expirations set by each spa location or state regulation. Should this card be redeemed at another location, the card will be redeemed at face value. This card is non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash. Any unused balance will remain on the card. This card is not transferable and Woodhouse is not responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged or unauthorized use of the card. No express or implied warranties apply. Series of services are not refundable, but can be converted to spa credit. There will be a $50.00 fee each time a check is returned as well as any incurred charges for collection of payment owed. Gratuities are not included in the value of the services and are at the discretion of the guest.

Spa Products and Returns

In the event you are not satisfied with a skin or body care product, you will be given spa credit if the product is returned within 30 days of purchase. For other retail items, a refund will be issued as spa credit or back in the form of which payment was received within 30 days of purchase.

What is Reflexology?

A relaxing take on the traditional art of reflexology, this service begins with a shea butter and sugar exfoliation of the feet. Pressure is then applied to specific reflex points on the feet, relieving stress, inducing deep relaxation and bringing balance to the entire body.

How does reflexology differ from a foot massage? Massage is the manipulation of tissues to relax the muscles, relieve tension and improve circulation. This can improve overall health and well-being.

Reflexology uses a targeted pressure point massage to restore the flow of energy throughout the body. Beyond the feel-good effects of the treatment the practice and purpose go deeper than the skin and muscles. Kneading the soft fleshy ball of the foot, pulling on the toes, tracing around the heel and pushing deep into the arch of the foot are just a few of the movements your experience during a treatment,.

Benefits of Reflexology? With repeated pressure and manipulation of nerve endings in the feet, reflexology can help to clear any channels of blocked energy in the body. It is said to do so by moving the flow of blood , nutrients and nerve impulses.

All About the Head Spa

Can you accommodate all hair textures?

The hair itself is not so much of a concern as we will be primarily focusing on the scalp during the Waterfall Scalp Experience.  We kindly request that you ensure we have unobstructed access to your scalp; unfortunately, we cannot provide services on clients with extensions, braids, or sew-ins that impede this access.

Do I need to wash my hair before coming?

We advise not washing your hair before coming as washing your hair too frequently will strip the hair and scalp of its moisture. We do, however, ask that your hair and scalp is clean and has been washed at least 3 days prior. Product buildup can hinder the Spa Professionals’ ability to treat the scalp properly.

Is the Head Spa safe for expecting mothers?

The Waterfall Scalp Experience may not be suitable for those who experience vertigo or are over 28 weeks pregnant, as our service requires you to lay on your back with slight head tilting.

What can I expect from the massage component of the treatment?

While our Waterfall Scalp Experience may include elements that feel like a massage, its primary focus is therapeutic scalp care. Our specialists employ precise techniques throughout the service, promoting relaxation while prioritizing scalp health. We kindly ask that you refrain from requesting stronger or longer massages, as these are not the core focus of our treatment philosophy.

Who cannot receive a head spa?

Please contact us directly if you have any medical history or sensitivities that we should be made aware of. Those with skin sensitivities around the scalp and neck are not advised. The Waterfall Scalp tables are not suitable for those with a history of back/neck/spinal issues, or those prone to motion sickness.

How do I make a reservation at Woodhouse Spa - Downtown Charleston?

You can book your spa experience online or by calling the spa directly. A credit card is required to guarantee your reservation, and it's recommended to schedule as early as possible to secure your preferred time.

What should I know about spa arrivals?

Arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to relax and complete any necessary paperwork if you are a new guest. Late arrivals may reduce your treatment time and you will still be charged in full.
