  I’m very disappointed to have to leave this review. Unfortunately, my last appointment was disturbing, and the way management handled it was embarrassing. I came in for a haircut as usual, explained what I wanted, and the stylist began cutting my hair. The hairdresser yapped nonstop for the entire appointment—which I honestly didn’t mind. I’m a shy person, so it was actually kind of nice to just listen. The problem started when her monologue shifted into extremely bizarre and offensive QAnon conspiracy theories: Hollywood celebrities doing child sacrifices and blood rituals, claims that Israel is behind various world events, and other recycled antisemitic tropes. I tried to brush it off as internet-fueled ignorance, but then she made a comment that truly horrified me. Somehow she got herself onto the topic of wars (definitely another appropriate customer service topic of discussion 🙄). She said (about WWII/Holocaust): “Why did we even have to get involved? Like, couldn’t we just let Germany handle Germany’s problems?”. As if that wasn’t bad enough, she never seemed to notice that the client she said all this to was wearing a Star of David necklace…. Stunned and mortified, I debated saying something in the moment, but chose instead to address it with management. That turned out to be a mistake. I contacted Great Clips and shortly afterward the location’s owner, Patricia, reached out asking to discuss the issue. When we spoke on the phone, she was very apologetic and agreed the behavior was inappropriate and unacceptable. She said she would speak with their legal team about next steps and get back to me the following week. She never did. I emailed twice asking for any update—anything at all—and was completely ignored. Maybe it was legal advice, maybe she just wanted to check a box and move on, but either way it was incredibly disheartening and disrespectful. I would have come back if this had been handled appropriately. Until now, I’ve had great experiences here and genuinely enjoyed coming to this salon. But at this point, not only would returning mean risking another situation like this, I also can’t support a business whose management lets something this serious get swept under the rug. To other Jews in the area and anyone else looking for a normal haircut experience: GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!

  Love Ashlee. She’s very easy to talk to and always gets me in when I need a haircut. I feel like the prices are very high lately but I guess that’s a sign of the times. Not her fault.

  I visited on 11/4 for a layered haircut, and unfortunately, it didn’t turn out as I had hoped—I ended up wearing my hair up for an entire week. Today, I came back without an appointment, and I’m so glad I did. Julie is truly a magician! She completely transformed my hair—the layers now blend beautifully and seamlessly. I was nervous after losing 10 inches of length during my first visit, but I’m so happy I decided to give it another try. I’ll gladly make the drive from Cranston to NK just to see Julie—she’s absolutely worth it!
