Called to make an appointment and the receptionist was extremely rude and nasty. Sad because when I stayed here for my baby shower in August the staff was so great! But I will not spend my money where it isn't wanted.

Warning before booking , , This spa When Walking to the Treatment Room and Dressing Are Counted as “Massage Time” stayed at Four Seasons Philadelphia and booked a 60-minute massage expecting 60 minutes of hands-on treatment — not “close to,” but 60 minutes, as clearly stated on their website. However, I later learned (confirmed in writing by the spa director — see attached email) that the “60 minutes” includes being picked up from the relaxation lounge, walking to the treatment room, consultation, preparation, getting dressed after, and being escorted back. In my case, I was picked up at 2:02 pm and the massage ended at 2:59 pm. I was then told they had “given a few extra minutes” because I was brought back to the relaxation lounge after 3:00 pm — which even includes the time for me to get dressed. This explanation does not make sense. Time spent walking, changing, or getting dressed is not massage time. Calling that “extra minutes” is misleading. As a hotel guest, and as someone who regularly visits upscale hotel spas around the world, I arrived early and was already in my robe, ready in the relaxation lounge. There was no delay on my end. More importantly, this is not the standard at most five-star hotel spas. While some may include brief consultation time, it is typically minimal and clearly communicated, and guests still receive close to the full advertised hands-on treatment time. At this level of pricing and brand, this experience felt deceptive. If a service is advertised as 60 minutes, guests should receive 60 minutes of actual massage. Very disappointing for a brand like Four Seasons. This should be clearly and honestly communicated to guests.

I booked a birthday spa experience for myself and a friend at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center, expecting a high-end, personalized experience. Unfortunately, it fell short in several areas. Both services were intended to celebrate birthdays. My masseuse did acknowledge my birthday, which I appreciated, but there was no recognition beyond that. Meanwhile, my friend received a birthday greeting and a lounge setup. The inconsistency made what should have been a shared celebration feel uneven. When I politely asked about it, I was told that it was not her responsibility and that she was only servicing my friend. The response felt dismissive, and there was no effort to follow up or correct the issue. Another disappointment was the lounge offerings. While I appreciate that allergies were discussed, everything available contained citrus or tree nuts. I was only able to enjoy hot tea, and the only alternative offered was dried banana chips, which felt very limited for a luxury spa experience. The space itself is absolutely beautiful and relaxing, but the service did not match the level of luxury expected. At this price point, I expected consistency, attentiveness, and a more personalized experience.

The spa facilities are beautiful: the locker room is spacious, a nice sauna and hammam are located . There is a smallish relaxation area for 5 or 6 beds with water, tea and some snacks. Positives: - my massage was outstanding, sauna was great! Relaxation area was quiet and relaxing. - view is nice. - a complimentary glass of wine was nice. It’s not veuve so they could have refilled it ) To improve: - pricing - for their services is dynamic. Higher when it’s busy. - snacks in the relaxation area are modest, could be improved. - only one shower worked in the women’s locker. - the only shower was not cleaned between use, and another persons towel were all over. - toiletries in the shower - really odd to see courtyard hotel type of toiletries at the four seasons - yikes. - front desk - super transactional and hardly 4 seasons level. Summary: it’s a nice experience, but not outstanding. The price tag is high. But think there are no better options in Philadelphia.

My husband and I had the most romantic private spa night here where he ended up proposing at the end. The views of the city when you get off the elevator and in the pool area are breathtaking. There were lots of beautiful roses and candles all over the place. The couples massage by the pool was very professional and relaxing. They guided us through a love/romantic stone (picture attached) ritual while we held hands and had tasty treats/refreshing drinks afterwards. We had fun being silly and taking pictures in the locker rooms. We swam in the pool and enjoyed the amenities (wish we had more time). It was exactly as advertised, we had the whole place to ourselves with a wonderful attendant who came and checked on us and took our proposal picture for us. 10/10 service and experience, can’t wait to come back for an anniversary or special occasion.
