Result: It barely reached the bottom of my EARS! The silver lining: it was a very long time before I needed a haircut again. I decided to give them another chance, but this time with a different stylist. We had a long discussion about how I wanted my hair to be cut to the level of my chin. Result: It barely reached the bottom of my EARS! Deja Vu anyone? Moreover, the stylist cut it straight across, starting at the back, which resulted in uneven edges everywhere, and not in a good way. The cut came with a 30 second shampoo (only a slight exaggeration), and the haircut itself took perhaps ... 10 minutes? I could have done it better myself, I think, looking in the mirror. The stylist was talkative and friendly, but inept, alas. So - the motto of this story might be: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. You won't get me to set foot in that salon again.
