I’ve gone through all kinds of hair phases and tried so many different styles, but this place — and the people who work here — make it a fun journey. I always trust their advice on what styles might suit my face, head shape, and overall look. Nelly and Lana do a fantastic job managing the place and are always so friendly. The whole atmosphere feels nothing like your typical Great Clips. Sports Clips and other salons just can’t compare to how versatile and talented these ladies are.

I had visited once prior to my last cut and had a great experience, but this time I left nearly in tears. After a brief consultation, we had agreed on a low taper and 1/2 an inch off the top. She proceeded to do a high taper and cut 2+ inches off the top. I was mortified after the first snip on the top but I figured there was nothing that could be done now and to just trust the process, especially since I couldn’t see that well w/o glasses on. I called back after noticing the back of my head looked uneven (which she conveniently didn’t show me as she did not hand me the mirror after finishing the cut, only holding the mirror up as she spun me around to see the good side). This hairdresser is also somehow the assistant manager (Nessy, Nelly, something like that). They said there was nothing they could do except have me come in so they could fix it, which I’d rather do myself. I also explained there was no way to fix what was already cut and my hair has never been as short as it is now. They offered no help and said I could come back in to get it fixed up when it grows in. After waiting 5-6 months for my hair to grow back to the length it once was, this GreatClips will be my LAST pick on the list of places to get my next haircut. The audacity was crazy, and I also still had blonde highlights on about 2 inches of my hair which were all chopped off. Maybe the “assistant manager” should get retrained so she can grasp the concept of what 1/2 an inch means.
